I put delivery date as well as per their instruction when registering for warranty. I have no proof of delivery date. Lost about 10 days but no choice.

One question, does the extra controller that comes with the package covered under warranty? how to register warranty for that?

Called TOG Jurong Point this morning and managed to secure last piece of Sony Dualsense charging Dock. I saw Pulse 3D and Steel Series Artis 7p if anyone is looking.

Base on my experience

I'm put my name at 3 local games shop at the same time (around Jan this year) and only Shopitree get back
to me last week but give my slot to KEN (user here) as i already secure my set @ courts (Thank to the ppls here).

My view is luck -> go web drop
or put deposit whichever shop accept and confirm 100% secure.

Thanks to bro Greent. I got it luckily through him.
What I did.
1) Monitor updates on this page.
2) Monitor any possible orders from Sony, courts, haichi, Qishan, Amazon, gain city.

I have registered my interest with Sony earlier this year. Once I receive call from them, I will share with the bros here in case someone is interested.

Looking at what possibly is a nice PS5 game to play for its next gen experience. Am currently playing FIFA 21 Pes 2021 and a bit of astro playroom. Too casual to try harder games but thinking of the latest Spiderman game. Graphics and gameplay on YouTube looks awesome!

Couple of personal comments bout the PS5 (after using the 1st few hours)….
Must admit that the new interface has me rather confused, especially with such powerful hardware (& it’s options).

Pros:
1. Quiet and fast. I’m transitioning from a gen 1 PS4, so obviously the noise level (or lack of) is a very nice change

2. Playing COD at 120hz is really a nice experience. I gladly choose ‘Performance’ over ‘Resolution’. Even anything at 60Hz is nice. For example: Days Gone plays stunningly beautiful on 60Hz.

3. The new Dualsense is really cool. Totally new feeling when in COD w the haptic triggers, but nevertheless is quite realistic. Likewise Astro’s Game is a fine showcase of what developers can put the new Dualsense to better use.

4. The free PSPlus collection comprising of all the AAA titles is a GREAT incentive for non-gamers to jump on the bandwagon. God of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, Days Gone, Persona…. Wow. The machine practically paid for itself base on the sheer amount of entertainment derived from these free AAA games. Unless of course… most of us (i assume like me) have already gone through these titles. But still…. It’s a very justifiable reason to purchas

Cons:
1. Takes a bit getting use to in the interface. Example: you have to dive into game settings in order to pre-set Performance mode as default. Also… why is the default setting for microphone ‘on’ always?

2. Why still no support for AirPods? Sigh.. was hoping secretly I could pair my AirPods Pro for my gaming

3. The compatibility between PS4 save games & PS5 is downright frustrating. Example: Was so happy to see Control: Ultimate Edition as free. But am crushed that it does not recognise my PS4 Control (Standard)

4. I feel that the wifi antenna is not as strong as the PS4. I’m getting weaker signals from my usual gaming spot at home

5. C’mon Sony… would it have hurt to include a web browser? Afterall, Sony has already all major streaming apps. What’s stopping them from incorporating a simple web browser? The fact is.. there is none in the App Store as well.

6. Lack of a good AAA title. I hate to say this… but Demon Souls is touted as a definitive AAA title for the PS5. But it’s not new. And not everyone (including myself) enjoys this series due to its difficulty nature. This harkens back to 2 years ago.. when I literally secured my Switch solely for the purpose of Zelda’s BOTW. Which till now.. I have no regrets cos my Switch is covered w dust in back corners of my tv console. So the question to Sony is… where’s PS5 1st good AAA title? As much as I’m looking forward to RE Village, but I’m hearing no significant diff regardless of PS4 Pro or PS5. I hope I’m wrong… really do.

Conclusion:
Apologies for the long rant. Yes, I like the PS5, but I feel that its technological edge is undermined by its lack of good titles. It’s just the beginning.. (actually it’s been 6 months already since launch), and we’re not getting any confirmation on availability of AAA titles. Hey Nathan!! Hey Kranos!! Rockstar??!!! Come out already will ya?

Can camp on Lazada, think there were a couple of discounts from reputable sellers selling it for around $220-230 with discounts and vouchers. Next sale is probably 5 May.

I have a few questions regarding the PS5

1) Does it support the H.264 and H.265/HEVC video codecs? Or need a 3rd-party video converter to convert the H.264 and H.265 to PS supported video formats if I want to watch movies on the TV
2) Anyway to playback recorded videos from a handphone/camera like directly from it using cable or need to copy the video clip out from the phone/camera into a USB stick and play through the PS5? Is there a video app for playback of recorded videos in the PS5 which allows you to select what format the video can be playback?
3) The video link posted below showed the game was played in 1440p@60Hz from 9:57. Can confirm it supports the playing of 1440p games? I think the PS5 don't support 1440p OOB when launched. Was it due to a recent firmware update?
4) Does the HDMI 2.1 port supports ALLM/VRR? FI, the Xbox Series X's HDMI 2.1 port supports ALLM/VRR.
5) How's the reliability of the built-in 4K UHD Blu-ray player for both the PS5/Xbox say from previous models?
6) Is the PS5/Xbox Series X available locally now? If yes, where to see one?

Thanks

You can try looking up Samsung QLED Q80T 55" on ratings.com, YouTube etc. Some of us here are using QLED I think. Bought at less than 1.5k during last year's Black Friday. 3 years in house warranty but not local set. Future-proof: hmdi 2.1, up to 120fps, 4K, HDR, ALLM, VRR, etc. Been using it well and great so far for my Netflix, PS5. Side note: I won't recommend Prism TV as the nits aren't high enough to show the HDR. You can research more and will understand better.

Also, if you aren't bothered by the "burn-in" issue (I'm not comfy with it though), can also consider an OLED CX or C9, just a few hundreds more exp I think? Price may have changed. But has gotten a lot of praises for the contrast from the darkest truest black (each pixel can control its own light on/off) for a very good picture. Happy researching.
