Great news as VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) is coming in the months ahead. Finally, we can make better use of our HDMI 2.1-compatible TVs and monitors.

The update's screwed up. Now I can't access my Cloud Storage saves. The PS Plus subscription page shows up when my subscription is still valid until November. C'mon, Sony, get your bloody act together!

it has nothing to do with the update. It's PSN down at the moment. PS4 people also can't connect.

It's not fear mongering, but I would rather not see others have to face the issue.

Fair enough, if it's a PSN issue and not something related to their update, but the timing is coincidental. Instead of asking me to calm my tits, perhaps you could suggest to Sony to improve their messaging and communications? Would it be that difficult to offer a notification when you turn on your PS5 or to post something on their twitter feed?

So they have a Notification platform to prompt you to download updates, but can't use it to alert you on something as major as a PSN outage? I hope noone mistakenly paid for another PS Plus subscription when the prompt came up in error, just because they thought their subscription had expired.

Fair point, if they have no other way to prompt you technically. I was prompted to download the update and install it, so there was still some level of push connectivity?

But nothing on social media for their Asian customers outside of Japan? Shouldn't be that difficult to post an update and warn your customers not to mistakenly renew their subscriptions while they're trying to fix the problem.

Other that buying from scalpers, where can I get a PS5 at recommended retail price? Is there a waiting list or telegram group I can follow to be notified on stock availability? I tried camping amazon.sg... lol seems like never restocks...

PSN Outage just happened as I was setting up for first time and it had me so confused for a good 30 mins. Trying to troubleshoot my wifi instead of checking if PSN is down or not. LOL.

Checked with Sony Wisma last year September, they are clearing January 2021 waiting list… WhatsApp them yesterday and they said the store is clearing February 2021 waiting list.

depends on yourself. folks that prefer physical usually collectors (i.e. got space at home to keep the discs) or just plan to buy, play then sell away at basis of $10-$15. Less if popular game. Digital means buy and keep forever (till the service dies at least... ), saves space and clutter at home.

For me I prefer digital coz no space at home. and stuffs get mouldy over time which is annoying. howvever due to $$$ constraints, usually just wait for a sale in a couple of months then buy.

Elden ring was the first day 1 purchase in quite a while tho
