Messmer was not so bad for me, I only used mimic for last boss, that one really pissed me off, took me more than 20 tries even with greatshield and mimic. I think the difficulty is about on par with Isshin if I dun use greatshield and mimic, I couldnt even cast mimic at the start of the battle because the boss will just jump on me and delete 75% of my health, really ridiculous.

Phew, done with Dancing Lion. I'm genuinely surprised that I finished him within a few attempts as his chain attacks are again (like Rellana), relentless. To be fair, they gave us some windows of very short rest in between to anticipate the attacks and time the dodges right. My strategy is just relying on dodges (my style is usually dodges more than using shield to block) + Lightning, Fire great damage negation incantations and up the weapon's attack by 2 hand wielding it with occasional jump attacks (one jump attack = 1500 damage already). Very lucky to have staggered him at one point and dealt a very satisfying 5k+ damage critical hit!! Then panicked as victory is within just a few hits and I kept on missing and making mistakes. Very relieved to have delivered the last 2 hits and then done. Praise the Adrenaline!

Some folks shared previously that you can get some online and replace yourself. YouTube the instructions and follow. For mine, I don't even care about it anymore and continue to use the remaining plastic stick as the rubber slowly cracks, peels and diminishes. It works fine for me, not much difference.

Defeated Radahn consort. Basically, i just thought of doing what malenia did to radahn as that should be what he is weak to.

Strategy is:
Equip the heaviest great shield in game (fingerprint shield +25). Heaviest armor with holy defense in game.
Rotten crystal sword +10 and aim to proc scarlet rot in phase 1. Will have to reapply in phase 2.
Summon Ansbach NPC for help in phase 1. Summon mimic +10 in phase 2.
Defeated him with a sliver of health remaining and I did use blessing of marika for an extra pot.
Great rune of Morgott used.

i just stand there and block. Whack when I get the chance. Too difficult to avoid everything.

The difficulty is that when he used his gravity magic moves I will still take some damage.
And, in phase 2, every attack is infused with holy, so will still take damage even if blocked. So, its a race against the clock in phase 2 to survive until rot kills him.

Dragon-man Great Katana and its powerful skill - Dragon wound Slash. It has a longer range, is anti-dragon and + blood loss

!! Still on my journey of fighting boss with no summon/spirit ash. It's very tough but I think I got that dodging momentum this few days. Managed to down a few harder bosses, P. Knight, Midra, Metyr, Gaius after Rellana, imho, before this insane and ferocious Bayle. It helps to get away for a while and come back later after losing umpteen times. So relieved that he's gone. Next Messmer, Let Me Impale Him, hopefully..............

SOTE > Elden Ring main (Malenia & final boss) + clear up areas I've missed > backlog: FFVII Rebirth, Rise of Ronin, while waiting for Wukong & Astro Bot reviews.

Definitely will wait for reviews on wukong though...

Not to jinx it but I somehow have a bad feeling about Wukong. Also, I feel Astro Bot's length is short for its price, I may only play it when its discounted. Or play and sell, hastily. Unless it's not that good, then of course, give it a miss.

Malenia has finally known Defeat!!!!!!!

after many hours of retries..........

I did a last minute, huge respec to up endurance to boost equip load, stamina, robustness (resistance to scarlet rot) and wear one of the heaviest armour while maintaining med load for a different strategy. Praise the larval tear! Two handing Blasphemous Blade and some talismans to boost jump attack and two handing attacks. I am uber lucky to have survived the waterfowl dances. Take a break first before taking on Messmer this weekend. Huge relief!
