With just 2 days left to Elden Ring's SOTE DLC, I tried to fight Malenia again and even at Level 178, it didn't particularly make things much easier. However, with a Spirit Ash Summon (I used Mimic Tear as Max Level, just to test it out), it becomes significantly manageable for Phase 1 but to the point of not enjoying the battle. My duplicate self distracted her and even tanked her Waterfowl Dance move for me at one point while I attacked her from behind. With that very casual fight, we can delete her health by 75%. Not too sure about Phase 2 though. I think I should just fight it normally without Summons like every other mini-boss/main boss.

On a side note, my Level 178 was obtained through thorough exploration in attempt to find all the side dungeons, fight all the mini-bosses etc with little or no grinding. And I think there are still more dungeons, weapons, items etc lurking somewhere in The Lands Between.

needless to say, today i will begin DLC. Malenia, Mohg etc i had already beaten.

Obviously, the last game i played was stellar blade.

The first optional mini-boss I've encountered in the DLC can kill me in 2 powerful hits. Grateful for the Strength 92 (I heard the soft cap is 80, maybe use a larval tear to respec for balance) & Blasphemous Sword +10 to expedite the punishing. You still need to time your dodges precisely or "YOU DIED" The foes are still kicking my @$$ real hard, which is .

yeah sort of like going back to level 1 no matter how high levelled you are in OG Elden Ring.

Yes! Once you got his attack pattern, just rinse and repeat. What level are you all at the start of DLC? I thought I'm over levelled but no man, it is still challenging!

Damm sIan. I actually Plat Elden ring previously 2 years ago. Lvl 220, mage build.
BUT… i went into NG+ already. Only realise this after i downloaded the DLC, and was wondering why some of my sites of grace are missing.
DAMMM…

Anyway, not sure why, but i could access Mohg easily and finished the boss fight (after 3 attempts)
No DLC‘s NPC appeared, even after re-starting the game.

I guess now i have to go find Radahn.

I forgot the entire sequence of events leading up to Mohg. Not sure how come i could access to it so fast.

Wah sian. The challenge of NG+ for the DLC......Luckily you have a rather high level to begin with. Let us know if it's manageable when you start the DLC.

Ok. Managed to clear both bosses again. Challenge was getting to them rather than actually fighting them.

But very odd .. I can’t access the DLC. No option to touch the finger & no NPC there at the cocoon.
I checked twice .. i did buy the DLC. And i also restarted the console.

Oh no… my Elden Ring base game was not purchased by me, but by my friend who enabled console share.
But i bought the DLC…

Eh…. Did i just waste $50?

Level 179 started DLC. Not on new game plus as I already know sure got DLC two years ago and I thought DLC will be v difficult if at NG+ difficulty.

Beat the first heavy armor knight mini boss with the crossbow and great sword on the first try. Actually it's easier than stellar blade in some ways as I can use 100% damage block shields and it's tempo is slower for combat.

But i bought the DLC…

Eh…. Did i just waste $50?

Not sure how that works but maybe enable console share again? Or just buy 2nd hand physical copy Elden Ring, cheaper than getting a full priced one on PS store.

I’m on ng + 6, killed 3 remembrance bosses Liao.
Dancing lion
Renalla twin moon knight
Some centipede boss then realised I don’t have messmer’s kindling (need kill Messmer)

I now almost reaching Messmer’s boss room Liao so tonight go kill after dinner

Just beat dancing lion too.
Considering my character is a HP,STR,shield,poise build, my mimic +10 is OP and can't die lol.
