It's ironic how Concord, the biggest flop in recent memory are being taken offline/refunded while Astro Bot launch on the same day. Highest rated game of the year so far with 94 on metacritic. Higher than FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Wukong etc.

That should send a clear message to Sony that a well made, highly polished single-player game is what players want rather than generic live-service thrash. Hopefully people vote with their wallets & Astro Bot sells millions of copies, so that a sequel will be greenlight (Maybe a next-gen PS6 launch title). A platformer on par with Nintendo is a breath of fresh air.

In a post-Concord world, the devs of Marathon & Fairgame$ must be feeling anxious that their games may suffer the same fate & dead on arrival. They could be next on the chopping block.

Why so troublesome one… I thought the game will be delivered together with the freebies, now still need to make my way down for collection?

wtf from Sony SG… if they stated this clearly from the beginning I wouldn’t even order directly from them…

Yah...as someone that gamed since 80s (first videogames i owned is the original super mario bros and karateka for NES), some of the modern gaming trites can be aggravating for a 'gaming boomer' like me.

I like GAAS as much as the next guy, i played a few of them myself (Helldivers 2 & ZZZ) but not EVERYTHING needs to be GAAS with daily login rewards, season pass and the such.

Just a good hearted genuine whimsical single player game that's well designed and marketed well... it's not that hard. Nintendo and Capcom seems to have figured that out while alot of the westerner run studios (which playstation is now western run) seems to keep chasing for that pot of GAAS gold, being the late-stage capitalists they are. Every game must be designed to be played and grind daily and monetize left & right in pieces. It degenerate videogames into less than an art and more of product.

Like i can still play all the single player games, even the failed one like The Order 1886, without fail because they are not just a product but an artform that can be preserved and experienced by others and hopefully have a new appreciation or appraisal for posterity.

A failed GAAS game like concord though? When it's offline, all the art, 3d models, the music, content that designers and devs created are gone, just like that...poof. Thanos snapped. Like it didn't even exist in the first place. Videogames shouldn't be like this.

I agree. The devs of Fairgames and Marathon must be sweating bullets right now.
In hindsight, I think Sony severely overpaid for Bungie.
Thank god to whoever within sony to decide to pull back on the investment of GAAS games.

We can't stack our PS+ subscription anymore? I just bought a year of subscription without issue and wanted to stack another year of the same plan but it kept showing 'something went wrong' and 'error' on both my desktop and PS4 when confirming purchase.

it depends, if you bought the ps+ during a discount period, you have to check whether can that discount be stack or not. there's one discount where it's 50% off for ps plus normal tier lesser discount for higher tier, u can't stack that. normal discount you can stack. have to read T&C carefully. if not just direct ask PS assistance in their web site on why u cannot stack the subscription

I am given a 25% discount to purchase another year of essential tier subscription, probably because my subscription is expiring in 2 weeks time. I think this promotion is exclusive to me as I don't see any ongoing discount for PS+ subscription right now.

I have no issue purchasing one year, but when I try to purchase another year it kept saying 'something went wrong' on my desktop and 'error' when I try purchasing on my PS4.

I'm not sure if it's because of their usual technical issues or this promotion can't be stacked. Has anyone able to stack this kind of promotion before?

For those playing Wukong, I'm currently at the final chapter now, 85%. I play my games blind, without a guide but try to explore as much as possible to get everything the best I can. And I usually will check for missables, secrets after I beat the game/when almost going to beat. So far, I found out that I have missed around 20 mini-bosses/bosses from Chapter 1 to 5 !! Some are already missed for good (i.e. can only do in NG+) and for the rest, maybe can still revisit to finish up. There's actually much more content than it seems. 20......that's crazy.
