It is sad that most people care about in this modern times is framerate, resolution, how many grass the game can produce, wherether the glass can see your character ass clearly etc.

How about gameplay, no one ever or rarely talks about how fun it is.

Godfall looks generic & boring. Another forgettable, uninspired trash that nobody will be talking about once the generation get going & the heavy hitters start to arrive, like God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, GTA VI, Next Naughty Dog game, Hideo Kojima game, Sucker Punch, Bend, Resident Evil 4 Remake etc.

The only reason it receive attention is because its a next-gen launch game for PS5. Imagine if Godfall were just another PS4/Xbox One game, I'm sure not many players will care about it.

Godfall may suffer a similar fate as Anthem, ME: Andromeda etc. Mediocre reviews all around.

Within 2 to 3 years, Godfall has a good chance of being given away for 'free', as among the monthly PlayStation Plus game. Like Evolve (Turtle Rock Studios), by then the game will be dead, with low number of players. Players will leave it & would move on to other better, superior games.

You downplay a PlayStation exclusive game, focus only on the negative & ignore any positive news. Very toxic.

The only time MS care about sales numbers is during the Xbox 360 days, when they had a 1-year advantage & sizable lead over PS3 in the beginning of the generation.

Shouting from the rooftops & taking a dig at Sony at every turn, especially Aaron Greenberg during the monthly NPD. Don Mattrick also claim that 'the first company to reach 10 million in console sales, wins the generation'. That's obviously nonsense, as Xbox 360 end up in 3rd place behind Wii & PS3.

If they are in 2nd/3rd place, sales numbers suddenly doesn't mean much. Seems like it only matters when they are leading.

As for current gen, Xbox outsold PlayStation in zero territories (Even though Xbox had Game Pass, as well as the most powerful console on the market with the mid-gen Xbox One X. Proving that both Power + Game Pass didn't turn the tide & unable to move the needle in the global console market as initially anticipated by MS).

USA - PS4 outsold Xbox One
Europe - PS4 outsold Xbox One
Asia - PS4 outsold Xbox One
Africa - PS4 outsold Xbox One
AUS/NZ - PS4 outsold Xbox One

Next-gen, history will repeat itself. Global sales will be similar as current gen. PS5 outselling Xbox by more than 2:1 ratio. Gap unlikely to narrow.

PS5: 120+/130+ million
Xbox Series X|S: 50+/60+ million

On a side note, the default Performance Mode is definitely the recommended way to experience this game. Dynamic 4K 60fps looks great, offering a superior experience compared to Cinematic Mode (Native 4K 30fps).

For consoles, I feel native 4K is a waste of resources (Although some games like Sackboy & Astro's Playroom is Native 4K 60fps). Framerate over resolution always.

DMC5: SE on PS5/XSX offers 4 performance modes:

- 4K 30fps, Ray Tracing ON

- 1080p 60fps, Ray Tracing ON

- 4K 60fps, Ray Tracing OFF

- Up to 120fps, Ray Tracing OFF (Unspecified Resolution)

Hopefully that will set a precedent & become standard in all games. So more devs will follow suit & offer similar number of options, unlike the usual 2 or 3 performance mode found in most games.More performance options available = Less complain from demanding players.

Not everyone is obsess about resolutions, framerates, Ray Tracing. Mainly console fanboys. You come to PS5 thread, purposely derail the thread, go off-topic & talk about Xbox in a PS5 thread. Comparing PS3/PS4 superior sales to Xbox, yet you ignore that the topic is about PS5.

All I wanted to know was everyone's pre order status and games they were getting. End up come here got childish fanboy flame wars.

Personally, I'm a pc gamer and bought a ps4 during launch but barely used it. This ps5 is like the first time I am planning to put in hours on a console. Already bought the Spider-Man ultimate edition and Ghost of Tsushima. Still thinking if I should get Demon's Souls. Anyone else in the same predicament?

Hello, fellow PC gamer.. I'm in the same predicament.... PC gaming has been always my choice and i only went to PS for Dynasty warrior.... for PS5, i think i will stick to Demon's Souls first.

DS is also a launch title. Look at the launch titles from the PS4, and compare to the games at the end of the generation. Was there progression?

Of course the PC will be more powerful. However, that's at least double to triple the price of the PS5. Plus, those console exclusive games are what makes owning and playing on the system so good.

I was a Sega owner up to the Saturn, then MS (XB org, XB360). The PS4 was my first PlayStation, and the games I played through that generation were like nothing before. I can't wait for PS5. You can keep your PC.

A smooth framerate is crucial to some game's enjoyment, for example sekiro is total garbage on ps4 becos the game is about parries, the parry window is actually not small but a jittery framerate and high input lag makes the game unplayable. Console game devs should be called out for prioritising eye candy over a game's performance, sekiro could have easily ran at 720p/60fps on ps4, of course it wouldnt look great but it'd at least have been more playable.

Now we are seeing the same marketing BS from devs again, look at dmc5 marketing material and actual performance, its just frustrating.

Think it’s more of a 2nd console within household thingy. Imagine someone else can play your ps4 with access to the 20 games while you’re gaming on your ps5. Quite a neat feature if you don’t already have those games I will say...

The majority of the games I've played have been first party exclusives, so I played on the best platform for the game.

Even if the game is available on PC, it doesn't mean it's an improvement. See HZD as an example.
