Personally, I'm a pc gamer and bought a ps4 during launch but barely used it. This ps5 is like the first time I am planning to put in hours on a console. Already bought the Spider-Man ultimate edition and Ghost of Tsushima. Still thinking if I should get Demon's Souls. Anyone else in the same predicament?

Lol, you're the exact opposite of me, been playing video/computer games since the Pong TV game console in 1980, then computers like ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MS-DOS 8088, 286,386,486, Pentium etc. Then NES, Sega Master System, Genesis, SNES, Playstation, Saturn etc etc.

Went through all generations of Playstation, but no Dreamcast/Gamecube/Wii/Switch and zero xbox.

Portables owned include some Nintendo Game & Watch (Fire, Chef, Parachute, Octopus), GBA, GBA SP, NDS, PSP & Vita.

Now mostly play on PC (retro/RPG games), PS3, PS4 & Vita and the RG350 from China. Also had a cheap Amlogic S903x3 device that plays retro arcade games on TV.

The answer to your quesion is yes, should get DS for PS5, it's a no brainer. Though be aware that it falls under those "very difficult" game category which some may not like.

Hyped for Demons souls on release too... never had the chance to experience it on PS3 (thankfully). Will play first hand in the graphical glory and 60 fps.. played Sekiro on PC and was so much easier according to friends who had to play at 30 fps on ps4..

As for what's behind the door, I think it might be a new item/weapon that wasn't in the original PS3 version.

Bluepoint previously did the same thing in Shadow of the Colossus Remake. They added a locked door underneath the Shrine of Worship, which houses a hidden chamber & throne. It contains a new weapon as bonus reward for finding 79 gold coins, The Sword of Dormin.

Think it’s more of a 2nd console within household thingy. Imagine someone else can play your ps4 with access to the 20 games while you’re gaming on your ps5. Quite a neat feature if you don’t already have those games I will say...

Is that how it works now on the PS5?
On the PS4, I used my US account to buy games in the early days.
But I can play it on my main account for as long as I still have the US account on the same PS5.

Iirc, the policy now is max, 2 consoles correct? Meaning, if you buy the game digitally, you can play it on 2 different Playstations. So in this case, you probably can play the same game on 2 different Playstation. Just not sure if it is meant to be on the same account or not. Never had a situation where I would need 2.

Maybe those that have yet to sell off their PS4s, can try this theory out.
Same account, play the same PS4 game. But one is on the PS4 and the other on the PS5.

PS4a - Anyone on the system can play the digital games of the main user (assumes PS4 is the primary system of the main user). So, those 20 games from the PS+ collection are available to all users of PS4a.

PS4b - the main user of PS4a can play all their own games on this system once logged in.

Only one machine can be marked as primary, in this case PS4a.

With the PS5 this changes ... as you can now have both a PS4 and a PS5 marked as primary, so two primary machines.

The majority of the games I've played have been first party exclusives, so I played on the best platform for the game.

Even if the game is available on PC, it doesn't mean it's an improvement. See HZD as an example.

HZD is an exception because it was a first party Sony title that was later ported to PC, the port was just half-assed. Most multi platform titles are better experienced on the PC, and its mostly due to frame rate/frame pacing issues.

My hope is for Sony to fix the VRR issue asap (it should be employed at the system level), because I have no doubt next gen games are likely to face the same frame pacing issues as the last gen.

If money is no issue for u, why not? Damn morality, as long as u are not buying it for 2k then I guess paying around 200 more for a first hand experience is worth it, some of them did not go overboard and sell it for 5k,

What's the deal with the accessories? I thought I recalled someone saying they would be sold in store on launch day - is that still accurate? If so, which stores?

I have everything I need minus the charging dock for the Dualsense. Sadly Amazon US / SG are out of stock and I'd rather not go third party. It's not essential, but it would be nice to have on launch also for convenience. Anyone know if they will be available on the 19th?

Just to be clear, you can make the PS4 and PS5 primary devices for the account with PS+. Then, on the PS4, the wife's account (non PS+) can play online with your games, while you can use your account on the PS5.
