1. Blame Sony for not making enough.
2. Blame the people who are willing to pay 1.2k. Willing buyer, willing seller. Not the scalpers.
Unit for unit, Sony made the same quantity of PS5 in the same time frame as PS4 during the PS4 era, launch aligned.
Blaming 'sony not making enough' is like blaming the chip foundary 'not making enough chips'.....do u even read any news at all regarding the chip shortage? Like you think Sony created the PS5 from magic and all the chips and component can just be pulled out of Jim Ryan's a$$ whenever he wants? We are now in a situation when even money cannot buy more units produced...because they just isn't enough components to manufacture them!
On your point no.2, although it's a stretch comparision...your behavior is no more then someone doubling the price of a toilet roll 2 years ago during the height of the pandemic lockdown when the 'great pangsaizua crisis' happened to take advantage of the situation.
Not saying you should or shouldn't do that...it's a free market after all with demand and supply and all that, the laws of economics...but just because you can do it and you are allowed to do it doesn't mean you should. I mean...being a b@stard is not illegal, sure so anyone's free to take advantage of the macro-level situation to garner some profit.
So hats off to you i guess. At least you wear your b@stard badge (that's totally legal) and you wears it proud.
Here's a toast to our scalping b@stard!
P.S. $500 is small fry to me yah so consider me unimpressed though.
