I may want to first take a month sub to Deluxe to clear some PS/PS2/PSP games which I had missed. Then sub Extra (est. 400 PS4/PS5 games, more than enough for anyone) long term perhaps. Going from Essential (base) to Extra is just top up $3/month for a year sub. The absence of PS3 games due to no cloud streaming support is such a bummer. Having Returnal at launch is already worth it if you compare it to the top up to Extra. I reckon most of us will sub Extra only.

PS5 launched approaching 1.5yrs......its the first time i am not even remotely interested in getting one, i bought ps3 twice and ps4 twice as well.

Not very interesting exclusives anymore, 1st party games even releasing on pc (admittedly takes a while).

PS plus new direction doesn't look good as well.

Feels a bit sad really, not trying to start any wars. :frown:

It's the first time I see PS5 not readily available anywhere anytime even after 1.5 years

Yes, Extra tier doesn't need PS Now.

It's the PS Premium one that's been changed to PS Deluxe because there's no PS Now here. Per the blog:

  • PlayStation Plus Deluxe (PlayStation Plus Deluxe (Select Markets) For markets without cloud streaming, PlayStation Plus Deluxe will be offered at a lower price compared to Premium, and includes a catalog of beloved classic games from the original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP generations to download and play, along with time-limited game trials. Benefits from Essential and Extra tiers are also included. Local pricing will vary by market.

The PS5 VRR update is done on the backend.
It's already available on my PS5. If you still can't see yours, just restart your PS5.
Here's mine.

Edit: VRR does work on unsupported games. Just tried it on Fortnite and I can see the Total Res going up and down on my LG C9 though not all the time indicating that if the game is running at a stable framerate, it won't engage VRR as expected. Thus indicating that VRR is working for them.
However games that run at 30fps doesn't seem to work indicating that LFC is not available for games below its min of 48Hz to engage VRR.

Xiaomi Mi Monitor 34" Ultrawide with Freesync don't support VR (as expected). It does not have Freesync premium or HDMI 2.1.

Time to replace this with a new 4K TV. Wishing LG C2 43" to come down in price...

Also, some redditor has been collecting info on monitors and TVs that works with VRR.

You can get the C1. The C2 won't come down in price until around September. Just that I'm not sure if the C1 has a 42 inch version.
