I wont be getting this on the PS5, theres input lag on performance mode and quality/balanced mode runs like ****. PC is the way to go, hopefully my 3080 can run this smoothly, sad that I cannot plug and play for this game.
Playing on a high-end PC is definitely the best way to experience Wukong, though PS5 is a decent alternative considering it's price/value. I've noticed console games running on Unreal Engine 5 usually have some issues.

I wonder how Game Science will pull off Wukong on Series S. Probably a downgraded train wreck.

Either UE5 is not ready for this gen or this gen hardwares are not ready for UE5. Though I think the majority of the PS5 gamers find the perfornamce of Wukong to be OK.

It really seem like to me at this point UE5 is the other mistake this gen other than the Series S.

I don't know much about all the tech-y stuffs but I feel WK is okay, probably not terrible but not as good if I compare with other action games like Nioh, God of War R etc. Not sure if there is input lag, I also feel like it is not as responsive, just a tiny bit.

Performance aside, they have many bosses/mini-bosses that I don't feel like I fight my way hard to reach the boss. Just slayed a few enemies then boss, and then, in a short period of time, then boss again and then again. I don't get the satisfaction from "yes! Finally after all these fights, I'm finally at the boss for some showdown!"

They did describe it as "boss-rush" style game. I can understand the lack of fulfillment of "reaching the boss" through great level designs.

Ahhhhhh..I see. To give it credit, the mini-bosses/bosses attack patterns are quite interesting and not boring at all....so far. I had fun figuring out how to dodge and when to use the skills. Chinese dub is really good also, it brings the characters to life. I'm enjoying the cutscenes before/after the fights. Put on my headphones and yes, lovely sounds.

I played about 3 hours yesterday, the game is essentially an action game with emphasis on boss fights. The trash mobs are a joke, totally not challenging.

I'm currently at the start of chapter 2. There's some sort of a level design already, fight some mobs, mini-boss then finally a boss. The invisible walls that reviewers mentioned are so annoying. Can't tell whether can jump up a cliff or onto something until you have tried it yourself. I have to test everything myself through exploration. Why not just make the cliff tall enough to show it's not reachable........

Thanks for chking
I suspect it's foreign exchange charges.
Cuz my ps5 is Japan set
It's not because your PS5 is Japan set, mine is too.
It's because PSN asia store is not based in Singapre, so there some credit card surcharge.
You can use Paypal or buy PS gift card credits to avoid the extra charge.

Boss rush style gameplay.

"The reason for this non-Soulsian format is actually inspired by the original novel, “Journey to the West,” on which the game is based, where Sun Wukong must overcome 81 trials in his quest to obtain sacred Buddhist scriptures. It’s a plot device IGN China Editor-in-Chief Charles Young describes as being almost similar to overcoming 81 video game levels."
