Then let them go fix first, I can enjoy my FF Resonance. Did anyone try beating Antlion on Expert Mode with demo level cap of 15? Maybe need a lot of mist potions and ethers?

Some people attempted it already :)

I shall try to beat it myself at lv 15 cap before watching this. I believe it should not be that tough, perhaps need some specific setup to tank the attacks. Just wanna try to figure it out myself first.

I also bought FFIV and FFVI pixel remasters in the recent sale. The last time I beat FFVI was eons ago - it was really good, maybe the best 2D FF imho.

I have never played FFIV, the first to intro the ATB meter and fixed job for each character, which is something I prefer. That being said, I still went to play and beaten FFV (high customisation cos' of job system) on PS3 just a few years ago and also played Bravely Default (like SE is experimenting with the job system but not under the FF name) - good OST and the fights are challenging enough but quite repetitive towards the end.

All these games ignited the flame for classic 2D RPGs.....octopath traveller series next?

You should start your HD-2D pixel art nostalgia journey again with Octopath traveler, Octopath traveller II as a bundle cheaper that way and Octopath traveller zero besides resuming Dragon Quest I-II remake and Dragon Quest 7 reimagined if you haven’t play these yet 😅

PS ~> visuals look more nicer, realistic and less pixelated on Nintendo Switch 2 output on dock mode compare to PS5 Pro 😜

Even I have attempted to get my respective Square Enix 2D-HD titles again for Nintendo Switch 2 👻 including Final Fantasy Resonance

Yeah, I took notice of the OT series, I tried the demo for OT2 with Ochette (can capture foes, turn into jerky), an interesting break & boost system and it is also based on SaGa Frontier's concept, where different characters' stories intertwined. Thanks for the OT bundle tip also. Not familiar with DQ turn-based combat, but shall explore. I read that they purposely remade 3 first, prequel to 1 & 2 for the trilogy.

You should start playing Octopath traveller brand new first, complete it thoroughly then Octopath traveller 2 then Octopath traveller Zero last to understand the mechanics in play especially 8 person party setup last ^^

Give those Dragon quest HD-2D a try to see whether you like it or not, tends to be repetitive in encounter monsters and battles until one is dull and boring.

As for nostalgia, I miss the whole game play and didn't to play Final Fantasy XIII (only released on PS3/Xbox and Steam last) which is garnered towards instant button action based gameplay and wish that Square Enix will able to remastered it for modern platform (A lot of diehard Square Enix fans will hope for it too) As for Final Fantasy XIV, I have started afresh on PC couple months ago and previously playing on PS4/PS5 and now got various level 100 class jobs and awaiting for the new Evercold expansion slated this coming January 2027 release, new class jobs? at least 2? currently Bastion (tank) is announced and a new physical ranged DPS? level upgrade to level 110 besides limited class jobs like the recently released beastmaster capped at level 50

I have just received my Final Fantasy Resonance going to start from the capped level 15 demo save, already clear the Chimera encounter fight and Antlion fight in expert mode later at higher levels I supposed lol

Actually my wishlist will be Chrono Trigger remastered too

Rumors: Leaks and comments from industry insiders suggest that an HD-2D style project (similar to Octopath Traveler) has been discussed or internally considered, especially following teases around the game's 30th anniversary.
