I will go for Starhub and not MyRepublic if you want to choose between the two, since MyRepublic is now under Starhub and it uses CGNAT. The other choice is M1.

As for secuity all three should be similar. It is up to you to implement good security for your home network. The ISPs are pretty much the same even some of them offer add-on subscriptions for home network security (in general not very good solutions).
Thanks a lot, your advice really helps. I wasn't aware of CGNAT until i came upon this thread reading.
I shall go with Starhub then.

I see like concerns are static IP and less secure? Dont really get it, but i guess better stay on safe side. I was considering MR 1gbps with google nest, i suspect I'd probably need a mesh system and it can double as a google home. New resale house so i got no existing router, and dont really know much about those offered by m1 or starhub. But i guess I'll go explore their mesh option.

Renovated already ?
If not, consider getting the house wired with Ethernet cabling and you won't have to fret too much over your WiFi solution.

basically you will fall into double NAT, which will cause issue if you are hosting some servers at your home (things like VPN, game servers)

I went with MR anyway and paid for the static IP, since I have good experience with the rented place that had MR, and I need to run Parsec remote desktop and host my own VPN server

anyway MR also offers RT-AX3000 at $199 and GT-AX11000 at $499 during the application process instead of paying extra every month, both are capable of running Asus AiMesh

Looks like Singtel is upgrading their 10GBPS to offer symmetrical bandwidth.
Now we have 2 players offering 10GBPS (Singtel and M1).

We should probably update the summary table.

Hoping the rest will follow.
I'm heavy user of Viewquest for some mirroring. (Sending 3TB+ per day). I had 1 or 2 issues at the beginning, but all sorted out and quite stable since. Daily 3TB+
https://mirror.freedif.org/Stats/Combined.htmlBut their 2GBPS (1+1) is not helpful in my case).

Singtel's new 10GB is symmetrical? Are you sure?

Singtel's 10Gbps is 2Gbps upload if I'm not wrong.

In any case, find it ridiculous that most of the telcos in SG don't even have working support for IPv6

Singtel's new 10GB is symmetrical? Are you sure?

Yes as per the recent report from Hardwarezone. It will only be available from April 2023 onwards.

https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tec...test-10gbps-home-fibre-broadband-plan-updated
Singtel has announced the launch of its latest and fastest fibre broadband service, the 10Gigabit Symmetric Passive Optical Network (10G-XGS-PON) as compared to the 10G-PON (10 Gigabit Passive Optical Network) architecture it announced in 2016.

Available from April this year, the next-generation fibre broadband offers upload speeds that are four times faster than existing upload speeds, matching it close to the current download speeds of about 8.2Gbps.

Was getting excited for a bit, then read "It also includes a 10Gbps optical network router" at the end. It's a little ironic how HWZ would bold it to stress that detail. :s13:

What equipment will be provided to me?
Optical Network Router (ONR) (wired) will be provided
during the installation appointment. The ONR (wired) can be connected to your existing router to expand WiFi coverage. For the best experience, we recommend a top up for Smart WiFi Pro (WiFi 6) router at just $12.11/month (worth $399).

What will happen after the UltraSpeed trial?
UltraSpeed is a 2Gbps Broadband plan that includes a trial. During the trial, you will enjoy boosted speed of 10X that of 1Gbps Fibre Broadband. You will continue to enjoy 10X speed of 1Gbps Fibre Broadband after the trial unless otherwise announced. Should the speed boost benefit end, you will enjoy the speed of 2Gbps (2 X 1Gbps connection) for the remaining contract period at the same subscription fee.

I am currently sharing the ONT/VeONT in my home with another subscriber (e.g. tenant). What will happen when I sign up for the UltraSpeed service?
UltraSpeed service will be provided on a new fibre connection. Existing service will not be affected.

Looks like Starhub is also providing ONR for the new 10Gbps trial plan. Hopefully the feature is better than Singtel ONR.

From the FAQ, it does not seem to me that it can be bridged.

Just asking for all the broadband plans. Those plans that include routers or those that have to top up monthly for the routers, after the contract period (24 months), do we keep the routers?? Or need to keep paying the add ons?

You keep the router after 24 months.

So the ultra speed plan is a 2Gbps plan but they temporarily allow you to go 10Gbps if their bandwidth allows?
