Hello, I missed the previous Starhub' 5gbps promo because my Opennet wasn't ready.

I went to the smart home tech show and saw their current ultraspeed broadband promos.

3Gbps @ $29.55/mth with TP-Link HB410 (optional router top-up: $5/mth)
5Gbps @ $38.90/mth with TP-Link HB710 (optional router top-up: $8/mth)
10Gbps @ $59.34/mth with TP-Link EB810v (optional router top-up: $15/mth)
All of them includes installation and activation.

Comparing SH's 5Gbps with M1's physical sign-up 6Gbps, which one do you guys think is more value for money?

I'm also wondering if it's more advisable for me to wait for further promos, since my new home's renovation is estimated to be done end May or June.

M1 6Gbps offer at S$34.90 per month (with free Archer BE805) is still of better value.

In general IT shows do not give better promotions for Fibre Internet Only plan. They may give good offers for bundled plan.

You can always wait.

If you are currently using Singtel ONR (not bridged, not using Singtl 1+1 Gamer bundle plan), or Singtel ONT + Singtel issued router, and you are okay with the pricing, then no issues.

If you are an existing Singtel ONT users with your own router, it is probably better to leave Singtel if you do not like to use Singtel ONR.

If you are a new user, no point to go with Singtel.

H1 is still some time more even we've just entered into Q2. It could be 30 July 2025, or "delayed" until later in the year.

My relatives/friends at BB West Ave 8/6 are apparently also affected cos their units are near Tengah. In the end, I got my cousin to sign up for ViewQuest's current 10Gbps promo with the nice XGS-PON SFP+ adaptor. Saves electricity and clutter especially in the cramped DB box, so win-win. Averages out to about $38+/monthly over the 24 month contract and with an IPv6 /56 LAN. With IPv6 and Tailscale, no need for fixed IP service.

I should have been more specific. I meant first half of May.

Does New Homeowner apply to new Tenant in the property? Or purely Owners.

Is M1 1Gbps recontract at $24.90/m a good deal? I only need 1Gbps and want to pay as little as possible.

If you are good on your existing plan then stay, no point to upgrade for the sake of it especially if your end devices cannot utilise.
Moreover, all these WIFI 7, 10Gbps plans just started, if you can wait for the price to come down and stabilise even better.
Otherwise, if the recontract offer is the cheapest offer as compared to your current plan then sure, by all means go for it.
Since cost is your primary concern...

Just to share, on post #3, item 2, for Singtel 5Gbps re-contract offer at $29.90.

I tried yesterday, I am currently on Singtel 1Gbps and contract ending early June, so I am eligible to re-contract. I submitted the information based on link provided above, got the confirmation email and said to wait for processing. This morning I received SMS to say the re-contract was unsuccessful, no reason was given, and asked me to call 1688.

I called and after a long conversation the reason given is "you are not eligible" and told me I could subscribe to another 5Gbps promo which is $50+ a month. I declined and leave it at that.
