Just wondering. When the organizations, for examples FCT announces their dividends, i can sell the shares? i will still receive the payout when i do not own the dividends after their dividend announcement?

If u sell before XD, you will not get the cash distribution.

If u sell on and after XD, you will get the cash distribution.

For example, in the previous quarter, XD for FCT was 29 July. So, if you sell before 29 July, you will not get the distribution. If you sell on 29 July or after, you will get the distribution.

Do note that the price usually drops on XD. I call this phenomenon "Power of XD". :)

Btw, "organizations"?!?!?!?!?! =:p

First financial report on reits

tmr will be the 1st report coming out for keppel reits.. look for at least 0.02c cd.. cheers

so for example XD is 29 july, and the payout is mid august, i sell on 30 july i will still get the dividends?

Right now, my warchest is around 9.5% of my portfolio.

But this thread is meant for keeping track of REIT CDs. So, I cannot answer your second question.
