is there anyone with only reits in their portfolio? Am thinking if i choose to be an income investor looking at around 6% dividend, would it be safe to just having reits in my portfolio which can easily hit my 6% dividend target.

is it time to accumulate some of the reits now?

yes and no.

yes, if you are able to find those at a slight discount which you can justify to yourself prior to entering.
no because reits are sort of at all time high and by next year will be affected by interest rate risk.

the more prudent reits i believe has already lock in their interest rate risk with longer duration of swaps.

Yes! It's quarterly reporting time.

Bought some during the past 2 weeks. Portfolio now exceeded $200k (excluding CPFIS and SRS). Hope to receive $1k or more per month, regardless of dividend payout or profit.

If average dividend yield is 6%, $1k dividend per month should be no problem.:s22:

Still learning...

As usual, understand some of the FA and TA. Aware of the news that affect the market. In addition, go to forums like here and read gurus' blogs like DW, AK71, createwealth8888, etc.

Would reading the blogs be good for FA+TA?
Read liao can huat big?

The blogs gave their respectives on certain stocks. FA still have to refer to the company financial reports and TA must look at the charts.

In the end, the final decision to buy, sell or hold is still up to you based on the information available and the status of your emotion at that moment.

:o

Have tried and searched but information on REITs are scattered. Can try Google search for particular research house or a certain REIT but it can be time-consuming.

Some research calls can be found in:

Research - The Society of Remisiers (Singapore)

In addition, your broker may email daily reports to you, like I do.

Finally, pls do not take these analysts' calls seriously. Got to do your homework too.
