Ah, they don't bother your preference even when stated. I've stated when I contacted them but they still called me when I was abroad, as if they didn't know. And what's more that person wasn't exactly clear what she's doing either, so that call took longer than necessary. :cautious:

SingTel Senior Sim Only now $12 lol.
But Unlimited 5G+ data & 50GB Msia Roaming
And ONLY AVAILABLE for New Sign Ups & Port-Ins lol.
  • UNLIMITED 5G+ data
  • UNLIMITED local calls
  • 50GB Malaysia Roaming
  • 50% OFF Singtel Roaming, redeemable via My Singtel app
  • Caller ID
  • 100 SMS
  • No contract

F it already. Will switch over to Starhub $6 (with Passion Card) Senior Sim for my parent lol.

No point paying double the $ for SingTel lol.
50GB Msia Data also not needed tbh. 1GB Starhub Data would be enough for day trips to Msia, and that is all.
Absolutely no need for UNLIMITED 5G+ Data...(Singtel) whatever for? lol. At home Wifi, go out also not live streaming and all lol. 150GB Starhub data would be much more than enough.

yah Singtel and its 'flip flop'. Was surprised w the u-turn so fast.

Just one thing to note - i am not sure if the promo period (until 31 December 2026) for the starhub passion card offer is for signing up, or for the $6 monthly price. The way i read it is that the $6/mth promo price is valid until 31 December 2026 after which, it will be back to $12/mth. Haven had the chance to read the contract in detail. Regardless, $6/mth until end of the year also very good already..

got it. thanks for the heads up lol.
will go check it out too~
but really Singtel flip flop super fast LOL, the price from $6 doubled, and honestly, with Wifi at home, no one needs Unlimited data. 50GB Msia data also not needed.... cause not staying in Msia what right? just day trips or what nots only lol.

i think 1-2 page earlier i mentioned it might be useful for those who use mobile data as their primary internet at home and worry about using too much data. just not too sure about their fair use policy for daily data limit. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

edit: starhub passion senior plan at $6 i think can consider gomo, singtel hi!, eight mobile i think better deal

Are u using iPhone? My iPhone keep seeing 4G but my Oppo had been on 5G constantly (including Vo5G).
iphone has the best "worst signal" issue since dunno when lol

i got 2 of the same line from ST, one oppo Find N6, one iphone 17pm

in my parents' house @ duxton, oppo always full bar, iphone always only 1 bar, at max 2 bars

and also, iphone cannot make calls in the lifts always halfway tio cut

oppo can talk all the way from level 30 to level 1.....

that's the thing... for my parent, honestly, i've checked the data consumption (on Singtel $6 Senior at present), it's freaking under 15/20GB monthly. at home have WIFI. no reason would i need UNLIMITED data and double the price right?
it's quite nonsensical.
SIngtel senior plan does not make sense.

some people are able to not use fibre internet at home can consider mah..

anyway look at it this way ba, good to have different options around instead of just price war with similar bundle.

For senior plan, I will recommend Gomo 5G at S$6 per month now that Singtel has raised the price to S$12 per month.

Starhub Senior Plan with the Passion Card offer at S$6 per month is another good option.

For local usage, both should be better than the 4G Only Singtel hi! Senior Plan, 4G only eight Senior plan, or the even worse SIMBA Senior plan.

For roaming, eight and SIMBA may have some advantages though especially if you need free roaming voice calls.

ok. just FYI in case the rest would like to know.
wrt. the 31 Dec 2026 promo end matter.
i've went to a Starhub shop to check it out just now lol. passed by one lol.
i was informed that the 31 Dec 2026 promo means that the $6 Senior (with Passion Card) promo ends at 31 Dec 2026 for signing up, and that is it, not $6/month promo ends on 31 Dec 2026
meaning, if sign up before the promo ends (31 Dec 2026), it would be $6 all the way.

Ok swee. can jump ship over to Green Camp already. HUAT AH!

Hi! Singtel 13 bucks plan
P5g0Z1u.jpeg

Most likely Fast.com issue, DO NOT use it as it is not very good. Use OOKla SpeedTest.

You can see the first test is IPv6 and the second test is IPv4.

Singtel IPv6 can have different routing compared to IPv4. Why I know that? Because of M1 SpeedTest server supports IPv6 and Singtel speedtest using M1 SpeedTest server is always problematic. Singtel IPv6 routing to M1 IPv6 router is not good. No issues with IPv4.

Reference: post in IPv6 discussion thread.
