There are of course slow places like in some lifts or NSL underground MRT Stations, but not getting worse recently.

if compared to the 5G SA+NSA time (before 30 June 2026), then yes there is a bit of depredation, for example in some lifts or other low signal areas, from 5G NSA to 4G.

It could be related to the congestion of SingTel 5G network after the shutdown of 5G NSA network and SingTel MVNOs' migration to 5G SA.

5G signal coverage should be similar or even improved with the 700 MHz band but the core network could be congested.

5G SA -- 5G Radio Access network and 5G core network
5G NSA -- 5G Radio Access network and 4G core network
4G LTE -- 4G Radio Access network and 4G core network

Some users claim to have better user experience if switching to 4G at some places like EWL/NSL underground MRT stations (with both signal issue and congestion issues due to limited capacity).

actually hor, im wondering anyone here like me got 5g access but switch to 4g to consume battery. i been using 4g all the while, no issue most of the time

I'm using samsung S25 Ultra, but i guess maybe location plays a part? I am around Marina Bay area, maybe will check back again when I return back to the neighbourhood later.

I'm back in the hood (Yishun) and my carrier status shows just "Singtel", so I think it's depends on the cell tower that broadcast the carrier name.

My $15 expired and got “extended” till 2028. No action taken
- No free roaming
- 160GB local data

Mine is also extended to 2028 but with 340GB local data and no free data roaming. Initially, got rejected when submitting online for recontract. I only realised my plan was extended when I checked with CS why the online recontract was rejected. The CS said the system auto-extend for me without informing me.

Looks like this is the usual outcome recently for the S$15.28 plan.

The data can be 160GB or 340GB after the extension to 2028 based on the reports.

50GB Malaysia roaming data will be gone.

Recontract request will be rejected.

For those who need the 50GB Malaysia Roaming data, you may need to port out, or maybe you can try to negotiate with SingTel to see if they can add that back (but this may be difficult).

If you notice the subject for the 15.28$ link is Sim-only seniors, which is why the whatsapp agent asked me if i wanted the senior plan. maybe the whole plan was a mistake and someone recently realized that...

The Singtel coverage is now 4 bars on iPhone at where I am sitting. It is usually 2 bars.

RSRP is now higher than -100 dBm
SNR is now higher

my area network has been pretty spotty. I get frequent dropped network when I take MS Teams calls on the move. East side. Happened a lot since they turned off the 5G NSA.

Not sure but in my iPhone 17, iOS 26.7,
Voice & Data settings, 5G On, 5G Standalone enabled, Voice Over 5G Standalone enabled.

Looks like it is location dependant. It may also be phone dependant (not sure).

chat with Singtel whatsapp SA a few days ago regarding my expiring plan, whether it is possible to recontract at the same price of $15.28 at the same terms. the SA said will get back to me but no respond. dropped a message early this morning to check any updates, till now, the whatsapp message is still 1 tick.

guess singtel don't want me as a customer anymore, time to port out
