Leaving it here for those that are looking to convert prepaid to postpaid as 3G shutting down after July.

SINGTEL SIM ONLY STARTER is strictly for prepaid to postpaid ST conversion/GOMO.
Resolved after visiting SIngtel shop and requested for the conversion.
No fees paid as of posting (08th April), and this is the only plan without contract as all other ST SIM ONLY plans have 12 month term.

Also, prepaid to postpaid can be done by Changi Mobile and SIMBA as far as I have found out, for those looking for other options.

Yes, believe any prepaid is convertible to SIMBA and Changi Mobile.
But someone highlighted in SIM ONLY thread that rejected by Changi Mobile and did not share any reason why, thoiugh CM highlighted in FAQ that any rejection should be stated in the email sent.

Get new number lehceh, need update people and everything else which requires mobile OTP verification etc.
Ohh, that's great to know. I believe they should be replacing for customers that recontract too, to gradually phase out 3G SIM cards.

is there any difference in speeds, data prioritisation? Their mvno's and sub brand recently pretty bad in EWL and NEL tunnels where it dropped to 3G. Their 5G is NSA though.

Do Singtel Sim only get 5G SA or NSA? As for MRT tunnels, do you all get 5G ?

Yup, ST MVNO, GOMO in my case getting worse. Don't even need to drop to 3G, 5G and it will not load and require Airplane mode data reset.
I believe ST's 5G is both SA & NSA depedent on location. 5G reception most of the time for me intermittent fallback to 4G in MRT , also do face occasional hanging which again, requires Airplane mode data reset.

yeah, my singtel mvno recently need to airplane mode in order to change back to 5G NSA. Now that giga allows it's users to use 5G SA, wonder if singtel will review and let it's mvno use SA

I would presume, the various ST MVNO are preparing to support eSIM and utilise ST's infra fully, otherwise, they are gonna get left behind with the competition yet again heating up and such network issues are getting felt more frequently.
Though not a lot of phone supports SA? Do correct me if am wrong.

i think most phones that launched since 2022 should support SA network. Even my old z flip3 supports SA network according to m1 website, even S21 supports it. So i think it's waiting for Singtel to open up

Yeah, for Samsung, Apple, bigger brands etc. would support SA. But doubt so for those smaller brands.

I have both Singtel and GOMO. At places where GOMO cannot load. Singtel can....

I believe it is the same for Xiaomi/Redmi, Oppo/Realme and Vivo. After all, they all use the 5G chipsets provided by Qualcomm and MediaTek.

You can see the list here. For example, my older Realme 7 5G and X50 5G are in the list (both phone launched in 2020 but I bought them in mid 2021).

Great to know that more brands are having chips that support SA, which means more options.
