I believe the sound quality will deteriorate instead.
QFT. Trying to re-rip music is like using a lousy camera to take a picture, and then using a better one to take a picture of the one that the lousy camera took. If anything, the sound quality will decrease even more.

It will only be worse. Just like scaling a low-resolution picture to higher resolution, you will only make all the jagged edges/noise more obvious.

that is taking one shot glass put into one big mug and expect the quality of the content to be more.

Once a file is ripped into 128kps, it is as though you shaved down a block of wood to fit into a container.

You can't change the container and expect the wood to "grow".

Anyway good news for those who are interested in getting bulk order for their TF10p from me, I manage to secure some wires and now i'm working to make a sample.

Will A/b with weisheng's lune to see how it fairs.

That's indeed great news. Though I may not be getting one for my TF10 (it will be sold in a month+) but will consider getting one for my custom IEM.

I tried a few different tips. The stock silicon tips provided are like the old sony ones before the hybrid. Didn't had very good experience with it in the past, so I didn't really try that for long.

Sony hybrid was the best for me. It basically unleash the iem's potential. Open up the soundstage, goobs of detail, good quality and quantity of bass and for whatever reason, I thought it actually sounds louder with the sony hybrid. However, it also push the high frequency to a new high and sharpness. Perfectly fine for me, but some will find it unbearable, I guess.

Tried some china foam tips...that one really curb the high frequency and bring out the low and mid. However, it sound a little veiled and a pretty compressed. Probably good for long hours of listening.

The best compromise is still the comply. Best isolation and somewhere between the foam and sony hybrid. Though I do find the comply a little on the large side for me, it suprisingly had the best isolation. I feel that UE probably had the TF10 tuned for comply. I find that you need to wiggle the iem into your ear and hold it there for a few seconds to get the best fit for the comply.

Seriously, the tip you use can make a great difference, so perhaps before you run out to buy new cable, can try to play with the tips first.
