About the same size as iPhone. But height slightly taller.

reason = form factor / fit.
i1015 is designed for, and holds iphone/ipod touch very snugly.

Just got home. Received a new 1020 and 1150 today and both did not come in retail packaging. Just a simple clear plastic bag holding it. Original Pelican tag intact. Both cases in brand new condition with no scratches.

The 1010s to be ordered will likely arrive in the same way.
If anyone feels uneasy with packaging, please feel free to withdraw your name.

taking into consideration bulk of case + minimal winding of cables
recommend either 1020 or 1040

to minimize winding >> most significant factor is planar area of internal tray.
you don't need depth as intention is to only hold IEM + cable.
examples:
1010 = 11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 >> area = 11.1 x 7.3 ~ 81

1020 = 13.5 x 9.0 x 4.3 >> area = 13.5 x 9.0 ~ 121.5
>> external volume = 1060cm3

1030 = 16.2 x 6.7 x 5.2 >> area = 16.2 x 6.7 ~ 108.5
>> external volume = 1155cm3

1040 = 16.5 x 9.8 x 4.4 >> area = 16.5 x 9.8 ~ 162
>> external volume = 1313cm3

1050 = 16.0 x 9.3 x 7.0 >> area = 16.0 x 9.3 ~ 149
>> external volume = 1921cm3
