my guess is because in the future barry killed his family member that why he went back to the past to kill barry

because his wife or etc died, he wanted Barry Allen to help reverse it, but it didnt work out.
must be something along this line ba.

but what he said is true, shouldnt try to alter "history"

yr qn makes sense. or it could be that e flash who was there when Barry was a kid was another flash from e future, like maybe Wally West? more confusion haha.

edit: wait i just remembered Cisco already confirmed e blood on e wall was from adult Barry. busted my own theory

I think because kid Barry had no speed force hence Barry did not reverse age. It seems at any one instance there can only be one speed force user.

Hence when the imba machine exploded, it showed 2 atoms colliding, but in actual fact is flash and reverse flash colliding which caused the explosion.

The instances when Barry went back in time, he was the only one channeling the speed force.

The reason why Barry become Flash is because of his mother's death, so when he tried to change that. He changes the fate of himself and everyone else including that of the reverse flash.
