Today their ApplePay very reliable. Made about 10-12 transactions, only one declined, second time went through, the other transactions all first time successful.
Interesting, think there are more than 1 way to pay. Can I ask which terminal is it you are referring, at the Petrol pump or at the counter?Update: The iChange ApplePay failed twice at this specific Shell petrol kiosk at Mount Austin with the Dunkin Donuts. Have to use physical card for it to go through. So I can confirm it is the terminal at this Shell which is an issue, not iChange, coz I’ve used ApplePay at a few other Shell kiosks the past couple of days, all successful the first time.

Like what @Habrosus mentioned, after buying ringgit in iChange, I transfer straight into TNG eWallet since most vendors and even hawkers can accept TNG payments ( for tolls and carparks via a connected TNG card. Can also connect rfid tag for NSH tolls ) , the transfer into TNG eWallet requires SMS/email OTP so best do it while in Sg ( You can of course also do that when roaming in Msia, but depending on connection it can be flaky )
Alternatively can also add iChange virtual card into Google Wallet / Apple Pay and tap the phone for payment. However came across terminals that rejects iChange virtual cards, though minority, but still frustrating especially in queues. So save all headaches just load up from iChange to TNG eWallet. I have not used their physical cards.
