WOW! If JB is 243.50, that means singapore is higher. Coz normall is Singapore rate is higher than JB.
Thoguht recently the rate is around 2.43
Infact now adays, I can't be bothered to check or change in SGP unless you're talking about Raffles Place Arcade...

Otherwise now adays, always inside JB either same rate or higher than us here..

Are you sure? My colleague came back yesterday, went to KSL and told me to change RM in SG. the rate is not good over there. In JB, Tesco rate was worse, RM2.31, money changer at RM2.41 . I used to buy stuff from Tesco and pay in SG$, the rate was better than SG. The highest was RM2.47 Several of my friends take advantage of the rate to exchange for RM at Tesco.

Monday evening, I change at Tampines mall, RM2.43

Change at the first few Money changer as you drive from Johor Custom towards pelangi...

All the rates there currently are either 2.43-2.435... While most places in SG (except Arcade) are only offering 2.43 and below...

So I don't really see a need to purposely change in SG unless I happen to pass-by a Money Changer in SG that offers at the current JB rate...

I go in at least 2-3 times a week hence I'm watching the rates closely.. :)

You really think so? I just went in today and on the bus along the way to Tebrau city, around sentral area, malls except Pelangi, rates are at RM240, occasionally 241, SG rates are far better off than JB. It used to be that changing in JB was better, but not any more since the beginning of this year. Malaysians are coming out to change, you are going in to change. I had been monitoring for several months as I go in once every 3 weeks.

According to CNA update last night, the exchange rate was 2.439, so how on earth can the rate be better than that on market? There is no way it is going to be better, it should be below unless you have lobang as my former colleague told me. Otherwise, you never get anything from the CNA rate.

if the change amount isn't significant, don't bother to waste your time going after the exchange rate after all, transportation and time taken make it unworthy just to gain that bit of difference. Arcade rate isn't worthy for me too as I have to travel some distance and given the slight difference, its not even worth it for me to travel there. However, if you ask me to change in JB, I would rather change it in SG because the difference become significant.

Dude... In the very fast place... All the 2.40 placed on the glass are for those whom change lower amount of $!!!

Usually they will +0.03 or +0.04 more from the advertised rate on the glass so long you change at least $100 :s8:

Nevertheless, to each his own... Everyone is out for higher rates... So change wherever you're happy.. Case close.. ;)

I had change several times over there, never get better rates except for larger amount which turn out to be slightly lower than what I get in SG. Regardless of the rate, still better off for now in SG than in JB. One of my colleagues regularly change over there in our past few trips over the past few months has since change his in SG.
