What happen when you switch sim between phone. And also what happen if you register whatsapp on the itouch

whatsapp can't be registered on ipod touch. When u install, it says it is not suitable for this device. If u force install using iphone utility by apple, it installs but exit itself on load.

if u switch sim between phone, it will ask u to re-register again. I think the dev team has tested all these scenarios...so no point trying to hack whatsapp.

Whatsapp used to be available on the iPod touch and non-3G iPads, but it's now blocked.. The only way to do it is to jailbreak and install an older version of whatsapp..

Hi wonder if anyone can help with this issue. I'm planning on getting a BB non camera for work (data plan + BIS) and continue using my iphone on weekends.

The query is, will i be able to run whatsapp (1 mobile number only) on both the blackberry and the iphone? Only 1 device will be turned on at any one time.

u already ans your own qn...only 1 copy can be run at only 1 time.

So I wont have the problem of having to reinstall the whatsapp on either of the devices right? As there seems to be threads about this issue and I'm getting confused.

I think it will just disable the usage on the another iphone not uninstall it. But nowadays people go for viber sms...as it is free call and sms inside. whatsapp always got network issues.

I suggest you need to try it out yrself. as far as i know, the whatsapp server will send you a notification to turn on in the phone you are using and disable the other one. Then u just respond to "activate" the current phone u using.

What abt using ur own number in whatsapp but on a diff phone. Is th data charge to ur number or the phone u're using?

I also encountered the same thing. Have an android phone and a BB. When I installed watsapp in andriod phone, BB cannot use at all.

Afterwhich I reinstalled in BB, my andriod prompted me that my watsapp cannot be used and require reinstalling.

I also try switching one phone off and use the other one but still the same. Guess watsapp cannot be used on dual SIM with one phone number.
