No 4G and international version running on Tegra instead of snapdragon 800

on top of that near impossible to get hold of stocks at original prices from store

Yup, no 4G.

Stocks should be readily after 6-8 months of launch, for us, internationally. :s13:

Actually curious though, how possible is it for those taobao ordering freight forwarders to buy it for us? There are a few in this forum here.

Btw, Just to confirm if mi2 can use 3g in sg? I am using M1 btw.

Used Mi2S a few months back, it has H+ so don't worry.

I'm not too sure about taobao forwarders..

If we are looking at the xiaomi mi2s, which version is compatible with 3G network? I notice the specs have 2 versions

网络制式标准版:WCDMA/GSM
电信版:主频CDMA,次频WCDMA/GSM
网络频率2G:GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G:WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz
3G(电信版):CDMA2000 800/1900MHz

Ours should be 标准版 or 电信版?

I am trying to ask a freight forward see if he can order from his connections

You guys saw the new Alcatel One Touch Idol X? Similar to MI3 but just different processor. I prefer the Idol X's matte back. Now can't decide between these two :s22:

Battery for Alcatel is so little for a 5" phone.

I am quoted with shippings sgd390++ for xiaomi mi2s (cny1799). From his previous other buyers' xiaomi buying experience, it most likely wont pass sgd400 which means safe for gst.:s12:

But now I am having mixed feelings if I should wait for mi3... Based on the xiaomi mi3 pricetag of cny 1999, I am guessing ard sgd460 with shipping and gst.

I need user advices here. Mi2s sales will start tomorrow noon going at cny1799. You all think I should go for it, or hold on for mi3 releasing probably mid Oct? With shipping and 7% gst, I think mi3 may cost abt about sgd 80 more and that's provided the forwarder can order faster than the Chinese locals, else Nov or Dec probably the next lot.
I need to make the decision asap.... :'(

mi3. You are getting 1080p and Snapdragon 800 with just additional 80. The improved performance and display is 100% worth it.
Unless you ugently need a phone, really should wait.

Can ask them to ship as gift to avoid tax

Finally finish watching the hour long mifen conference. mi3 aside because probably everyone here is ready with the wallet for it le, but the 2nd half of the video with the mitv sounds interesting too.

knn, cny2999 for 47" smart tv?!?! Lei is really pushing the market hard sia with such pricings. Phone still possible to freight forward, but such big tv like abit too xiong right.:s22:

I am so camping for the mi3 le, may go straight for 64gb since its abt sgd100 more from the 16gb nia. With shippings and gst, I think estimated ard sgd570. I think freight forward may not wanna risk the gst, since its we buyers paying for it...

Mi 3 has no dual SIM and its battery not removable. These are the only 2 things I dislike but the rest are great values.
