Tell you my experience after update:

1. I happily uninstall 3rd party battery saver app and use the Stamina Mode because the LED notification is working under Stamina Mode.

2. With Stamina Mode after update, it works even better than 3rd party app like DS Battery Saver and Battery Guru. Mine last me 3 days with data on occasion surfing, playing Iron Man 3 and Candy Crush, BT on with stereo headset.

3. All my apps behaves as per normal, camera app seems better in launching using shortcut, picture taken not different, excellent quality like before probably I am an amateur photographer.

4. Charging as per normal , using wall charger. Using USB via PC charge will take longer, last check it takes 4 hours from 30% to fully charged after update.

5. One thing for sure, this is how I do my update. Before update, I backup and hard reset first. After update, I hard reset again and then restore. BTW, my XZ is not rooted.

This is my experience with the new update to 10.11.A.1.253

To be honest, no point asking

Reason is simple; battery life depends on the user itself. If you want the basic information, check on the box or detailed specifications online as they are more general.

Our usage and behaviour are different.

For example, I uses my phone mainly on Whatsapp, SMS, Calls, Line, Internet & some light activities, Can last me almost the whole working day and left a little bit of juice before I reach home to charge which most of the time around 10+ to 11.

XZ fair poorer than the usual suspect in
Endurance runs.

Test is just test under controlled environment and I think battery is still new and not seasoned during the test.

Daily usage also very subjective as it depend on individual's usage pattern.

Granted. But if U need 5 hrs of surfing time a day, xz will be almost fully drain while others leave you room for more tasks.

Controlled test is indicative, otherwise a user can't judge based on user feedback on very subjective usage pattern. Im using arc,xs,xz. Trying to be objective and not fanspeak

wah just now my xperia z go crazy sia, the red LED notification for battery low was like steady red all the time. to be specific, the blinking intervals was like a flash. unlike the usual when there will be a significant pause before another blink. so i switch off the phone and on again and it seems okay. anyone encounter before? btw, is there any application that can reboot the phone instead of manually switching off and on?

I have a very stupid question, I have seen so many people with staining the strip inside the jack flaps after even washing their phones, i'm very scared to go underwater. Anyone tried before?

my strip is still white even after washing my phone. didnt try underwater yet.

My XZ went underwater when I went swimming on an overseas trips and wash my phone almost everyday when I was working. Until now the strip is still white. Shouldn't have any problems if you keep ur flaps closed before coming into contact with water.

Ok I just did a stupid thing. Somehow my camera lens had water droplets on it so I used a hair dryer to try to dry them. Long story short, the water droplets dried up but the sides of my phone has hairline cracks due to extreme heat from the haur dryer.

Anyone knows if Sony will be able to replace just the sides of the phone? I'm willing to pay for it as long as the cost is reasonable.

Sigh..
