You are very well versed in this phone leh.

How about a group of us all meet you somewhere then you give us a good lesson on it. providing tips and Q&A?

how about Kallang McDonalds? then we buy you all the burgers, fries, sundaes and drinks you can squeeze into your body

:s13:

I am ok with your suggestion if anyone of you need any help in using your Xperia Z, I will be glad to meet up with you all and maybe we can have regular meetup in future as well. =:p

I tried my Arc's earphones on it.

It says earphones not supported. Tell me to go Sony website for more info.

WTF is this sh!t? Are they trying to pull of their Sony proprietary stunt again??

I swim about 7-8laps with the phone. No problem. Lol

you also have brass balls.

weird how it didnt weigh you down into the bottom of the pool.

wah lau you guys, really making full use of Sony's features.

not scared if something goes wrong, then you'll have to send it back to Bishan and face those people again.

But testing the phone to its specified limits I understand lah. wanna see how good it is acclaimed to be.

reminds me of some frens I have. at the hawker stall got sign say "Hot. Do not touch!" yet they purposely wanna touch and see how far they can go :s8: and they are almost 40 years old men.

I honestly feel that the sides of the phone, take away the shiny, plastic parts and flaps..... are actually RUBBER

and rubber being rubber, it will get scratched, worn off, absorb oil/sweat.... basically, easily prone to damage.

but rubber also serves as a very good gripping feature. I wont wanna let it slip off my palm cos I hvnt bought any casing yet.

oh damn. i have a 2cm long scratch on my rear already. thank gawd I have my rear SP on.

yes i make it a habit to wash my phone everyday when i return home... therefore i wont get a case as water will get stuck inside... but i may be getting a silicon one, as it is easy to remove...

Another bad thing abt poor viewing angle... u place it on your desk (while eating or at work) n use phone to sms or surf net, the washed out screen is a major turn-off!!!

you may wanna consider a bumper lor

look at the other thread. got beautiful bumpers! but stock hvnt arrive yet.

i think i wanna get those.

yes the viewing angles are a huge turn off. but you wont view it from a weird angle often lah. pretty rare.

the sad thing is, you cant take decent pics of the phone with its screen on at side or diagonal angles. i tried several times. it doesnt look nice on the camera. it doesnt even look nice to the naked eye.

you can only take pics of it up frontal, or from a 6 oclock angle.

I wanted to take pics and post it on my FB to haolian mah. take from side angle, more unconventional a bit. in the end I gave up. or maybe I just need a DSLR and some PS skills

*why do u wanna wash ur phone everyday?

Brother, the earpiece for the Arc is using older standard which is OMTP and all new Sony Xperia smartphones are using CTIA standards like the one used in iphone.

It will tell you that it is not supported which is normal, Sony has to follow the common standards used in the market so that those who are using iphone headsets also can use in their Sony smartphones.

Official specs indicated the Xperia Z supports up to 32GB expandable memory.

Also, exFAT is not supported. You have to settle for FAT32. Future firmware update may feature exFAT support.

I just mounted a SanDisk 64GB Class 10 card and formatted using the phone and it works just as vouched by many people in the previous thread :)

ah ok. a detailed explanation about the OMTP and CTIA thingy.....

so they keep updating the standards lah?

thereby making old stuff redundant and coercing mass consumers to keep purchasing their newer stuff.

like how i always suspected. they simply follow the computer tech world, altho phones are also within that industry, keep making faster games, apps etc etc to suck up more RAM and speed from your chip.... then eventually our phones get slower and slower.... thereby making us pek cek.

then we hv no choice but to upgrade our phones.

its time to commence PROJECT MAYHEM!!!

why not? its waterproof... after wash it comes super clean, wipe it with a microfibre cloth and its good to go..

you can consider a safer way.

Alcohol Wipes.

I have a stash of it. I use it to clean my hp. and also to clean the rubber parts of my mouse and keyboard. IT IS VERY VERY USEFUL! esp since after awhile, the rubber gets sticky with all the grime from your hands, all the oily and sweat....

after a good wipe and scrub with those wipes, the keyboard is as good as new. honestly.

I take a handful from the hospital whenever my dad gets warded as I go visit him daily. :s13:
