Of course not LLST la. If you know you never close the flap than is your fault la. If you close flap and water still get in, that will be a different story. :s12:

Agreed. Especially if the phone's water resistance is marketed as one of its key selling points. If it can't even survive a tap washdown, what kind of water resistance is there? Note that the official marketing spin is that the phone is able to survive 30minutes underwater for up to a metre.

Agree with you as well. When you plug the earpiece or charging cable out from the phone, there is a reminder to close the flaps properly before you expose your phone to water. That is the design that you have to secure the flaps tightly so if water still enter when all flaps are tightly secured then it is manufacturer's issue but it also depend on wear and tear issue which happens to all products though it is made of good quality.

It's more likely YOU don't get what I MEANT, not another way round.
Firstly, I didn't said EXTREMELY, just merely HIGH MARKUP (Which is VERY understandable, and that APPLIED to almost every phone so that they will not incurred any loss due to damages and services repair).

No, I got that point of yours explicitly. Sony does not actually cost more than Samsung, mind you.

XZ isnt meant to be USED in water, it just...WATER resistant. Need to check me to explain more details?

Sony never said it should be used underwater either!! Most people just assume it does. And the fact is it really does (personal experience).

Obviously YOU have no ideas what am i responding to. There are a lot of bros here having water mark issues, and there is no way SONY will be in any troubles.

So many recent problems with this product, i already stop washing my phone, only dare to use wet tissue =)

Have you consider it may be the way all you bros used the phone? It is not improbable that you guys have used it in a particular way, that the rest of us don't.

It keeps getting stuck at obtaining an i.p. address.

One way that i seem to be able to work around it if it happens is to re-key in the wireless password but i can't be doing it all the time i want to connect to wi-fi its so troublesome.

Will try to restart the router next time it happens.

Err.... have you tried doing the settings in your router? There could be a user-set limit to the number of devices that can connect to it.

Or you can go into the XZ's wifi settings, then "forget" that connection, restart and re-establish the connection to your wifi.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has the possible solution to this niggling preference of mine:

With the new 4.2.2 Android version, our lockscreens now have the split second "border" around the clock and the sides of the lockscreen when the power button is pressed. Does anyone know how to disable this? Also, there are the words "Swipe up or down to unlock" as well. I'd like disable this as well. Does anyone know how to do it? :)

I very much prefer the old lockscreen where everything is much cleaner.

Does anyone know the above? :)

Since u got all my points, that's good. And mind you, I didn't name any brands, so stop bring out Nokia apple samsung htc blah blah, i only stated high markups are necessary which they won't occur any loss due to servicing. Not here to argue with u, but use your phone underwater? Can u make calls? Sms? Browse net? Pls do share with us fellow user.

I'm trying to make a comparison since Samsung has the most expensive Android phone currently. No manufacturer is as high as Apple, that is a fact. If you are going to ignore facts like these then you should not even be involved in having this discussion.

Have you done any of those? I've used it under a shower to listen to music and received a call. So now you are going to complain that that is not complete submergence?
