TELL them you will invoke the Lemon Law. They are supposed to repair or replace the product to a satisfactory level. In your case, brand new without fault.

Thats what i did but they will say that I spoil the product on the user side because i exposed it to water and one flap turned red.

Dude didnt u read? they already said they will VOID whatever period of warranty i have left after the second replacement.

I did read about the void warranty part. But are you just going to suck thumb and accept that without a fight?

As long as the phone was used within specs, i cannot see any reason for them to void your phone's warranty. I do hope that your phone is still within the lemon law period.

As mentioned, get them to provide you with a black and white report on their test results from their professional equipment. If they are not able to provide you with that, how can you be sure that they are not pulling a fast 1 on you just to brush you off easily just based on the indicator turning red within a day?

You will need proof to back yourself up if you want to use the lemon law against them to protect you.

Yup, ask them to provide all in black n white....pictures too if they try to find excuses. BNIB sealed warranty from date of replacement. replace the product to a satisfactory level. Anything less do not accept or sign any papers. VOID bal period of warranty is ridiculous!
Even brand new also got issues, who want a Refurb set! Post it on their fan page world wide page.

I sent my less-than-6-month-old Xperia Z (black screen with distorted white lines) to Bishan Service Centre on the 4th August...today will be the 13th working day.

Tried to use the online repair status to track my phone repair status, system returned a "not able to find any records that match the Repair Job Number".

Gave Sony Service Centre a call last week and the was told my phone "still under repair".

Should I call them at
Sony Xperia Contact Centre
Support Hotline: 6744 0733

or the Bishan Service Centre?

If Sony decided to give me a 1-1 replacement, will quickly sell it off and get other brand instead.
I like the phone, but the after-sale support made me think twice...

Ok, its wednesday now, and there is totally NO response from sony. Im really quite furious now. Maybe i'll send an email to case by the end of today.

Called bishan waited for 20 minutes. No one picked up the phone.
Update: Just called case. they say will either send a one time letter on my behalf, refer to small claim tribunal, or pursue the case for me if im a member.

Then prepare $10 as well as the proof to back yourself up. it will be troublesome but i hope that you will not be shortchanged.

I think to be a safe and happy sony mobile customer, it will be best to have 2 of the same phones. 1 as spare when the other 1 in the hospital for an extended time...
