Router rebooted

I read someone posted that their pace router rebooted after connected to XZ.

I am begining to believe this is true because I am encountering the same issue. I even had my router replaced by Singtel yesterday and the problem still happened.

So, to monitor situation, I will not connect to wifi at home for a week and see whether the router rebooted or not. If not, then it is confirmed.

So, what should we do now? Inform Sony or Singtel?

Can anyone advice, thanks...:(

Yes, you are right as the Service Centre has been informed by Sony Mobile Sg to reject those Xperia Z bought at those dedicated mobile shops, those listed mobile shops have also been informed by Sony Mobile Sg to sell at the retail price.

These shops are really very bad as they have their sources with low cost in buying the stocks then they just throw prices lower and lower in order to attract sales and this indirectly affecting the brand image.

I beg to differ. The Xperia Z saga happen because of a shop

Far east plaza, Burlington Square, Sunshine Plaza, Sim Lim Square and even neighborhood dealer have been quite consistent with the price of Xperia Z. We play by the rules.

Then came a shop who decided not to play by the rules, with his advantage as telco retailer a and backing of his big telco bully, decided to throw Sony Xperia Z price without considering how it will badly it will reflect on Sony Reputation and affecting the Xperia Z and also affecting business including Sony.. but as usual consumer wont think that much, as long its cheap why should i care mentality. Have they stop to think.. 10 shop sell $840 and 1 shop sell $800? Whats the catch?

Mobilesquare been in business for more than 10 years, J2 Mobile, whymobile and my shop hitting 10 years mark next year. We have been supporting sony and selling sony stuff for years. Many hundred or thousand of set have been sent to the warranty center without any problem. There is nothing wrong with our reputation.

There is something wrong with the agent thou... in our market... only Sony phone price drop in matters of hours.. 918 to 840 in 1 day. 840 to 800 in 1 day..

Being in this business for so many years.. Sony have been letting dealer down again and again. Selling Sony phone is not as profitable as u imagine. Sony price are always a let down. It take guts and money to sell sony phone. We sell sony phone because we felt we have to support as a dealer. We have lost thousand of dollar with Sony phone either by selling at a lost or the phone is stuck in our shop.

Why not i save the money and sell more Samsung Galaxy Note 2? Why not i sell more apple iphone? Why not i sell Nokia Lumia? Why are we dealer still hanging on to Sony?

Reason is simple we are still pinning hope and do our small little part to keep Sony going.

Before consumer start calling our shop ah beng or non reputable or 3rd party shop, pls put urself in our shoes. Imagine if u have to order 3 colors of Sony Xperia Z and faces the risk of price drop drastically. what will u do? Do u have the guts to keep 30 sets of Sony Xperia Z in ur shop?

By the way, i am not ah beng.. i tend a 3rd party shop because i love phones. I love sales too. But hey.. if i tell u i am a lecturer too at a humble institution, would u still call my shop ah beng shop?

Buying at RRP or not is up to individual. There is nothing wrong with 3rd party mobile shop. all goods are legitimate stuff from agent.

Xperia z software is full of bugs.

1. google maps cannot even locate current location even turn on gps.
2. My xperia z touch screen is not very respomsive, touch one icon need to press 5 to 6 times before the application is open. Shall go service centre later!
3. transfer fron internal to external bug

1. You need to enable Google apps access.
- Go to apps list > Google settings > Location > Turn on the Let google apps access your location

2. Got no problem with touch, even with 3 layer of plastic

3. no comment ( got no micro sd )

the location based wifi doesnt work quite correct for me.

ie when i'm in range of my home network, it connects, but when i'm out of range, the wifi still remains on (could see the wifi icon but greyed)

it should be off right?

Its not by wifi network range, its by signal towers triangulation.

Lets say i did saved a starhub wifi password at PS, when i at PS or nearby my wifi will auto on... and when i get starhub wifi range, it connected.

so if i walk out of starhub wifi range but still at ps, my wifi is on but not connected (grey)

Once out of triangulation area let say city hall, my wifi will be off..

Thats what i understood about location based wifi

My camera take very long to start up leh.. Close to 5 seconds. My xv take at most 2seconds
XV is faster than XZ in many areas even when browsing photos. You can try scrolling same files side by side. XZ took a bit more time to load.
