exlcusivity? costs? its a well known fact that Exynos has always outstripped snapdragon, even in day to day usage. battery draining is because of firmware. the current batch of quad core exynos is pretty effecient in the battery usage area....my previous S3 LTE can get close to 3 hours of screen on time @ 40% brightness...this is of course after some tinkering

the new snapdragons are pretty darn powerful though. tried the hands on with HTC ONE and its response and smoothness beats the XZ in my opinion

In my opinion, processor and battery efficiency are always opposite and technology is always never ending.

You can complain that quad core with 2300mah battery is bad then what do you think about 8 cores with 2600mah?

Someone who understands the tech and how its supposed to work.

Carlover, im talking abt quad cores u bring up octa? I cant vouch for octa as I havent seen it yet.

Fyi the octa is supposed to be more power efficient, real world tests yet to be conducted.

how many ever cores used , weather quad or octa both of them can only use 4 cores at any given point .. as far as CPU optimization

no is more friendly than sony to release source code and resources to developers to get the best feedback and implement , we never go to see Exynos sources , but sony does it.

In real life its not of that important for us as a common user , but developers outside world get hands on and give feedback and SONY Patches it .

sammy will never use premium material as it will try to reduce cost and make the device more light by using plastic , they look at mass production than quality production. Snapdragons are more of performance oriented procesor , Exynos are application specific processor ..

Echoin everything u said.

Also, the devs at xda are freaking magicians at fixing what the manufacturers cant.

I do wish sammy was as forthcoming as sony though

At the end its just a smartphone. Only one percent of consumer will using it for power computing while 99 percent expecting it will be able to do power computing but more concern if the batt life long enough for the phone to stream their fav movie and music. Thats the reason note and note 2 is fav for mrt ladies...
