this is my first lte set so every time I will speed test results, then I realized that every time switch from 3g/h+ to LTE my speed test is 1mb dl and 8 mb ul. then I do a hp restart and lte is back to 40mb dl 20 mb ul. then if I went to those non lte places and back to lte mode, back to 1mb again.
I can't be Keep restarting my phone when I want use lte right??
Anyone facing same issues as me?

loving it to bits, love it on my hand.Been neglecting iPad mini since I bought XZ.initially the battery depleted even faster than iPhone.After some read up, I off whole lot of stuffs in order to have a better battery life.
Right now at 24%, screen has been powered on for the past 3h54m.Total time is 7h20m.

WiFi on, stamina mode off. Auto brightness off and set it to 20%..

No doubt sammy design is awful, but they r alwaz a step ahead of sony in terms of technology.. Look at the s4 new ironman features... Though not as responsive yet, but they are almost there...

So far only sammy can go head to head with fruit phone

Yes. My Arc also no issue but when I set the security to WEP and my Xperia Z will not have connection issues.

Samsung... a step ahead ... phone and tv is what Samsung is good at only. They make fridge and aircon etc. but they $uck..

Samsung......a step ahead? Maybe last time in smart phone and tv industries but guess now only in terms of processor speed but not other aspects.

In terms of camera technology, they are still one step behind of the Japanese or Sony as Sony is the first to have 13MP camera in smartphones and I guess the camera in S4 might be from Sony as well like the camera in their S3.

Which ironman feature?

Those so called ironman features are so crap like their phone, it only appearinteresting and fun to the user for a short period and do you know those gimmick features will draw more batteries consumption if you enable them like the smart stay in S3, that explains why with smart stay enabled, screen usage can be up to 90% of the battery.

And the best part, those gimmick feature can also download separately from the Google Playstore from different developers.

When you say their technology have slight edge over the rest, I don't agree with that.

In terms of processor, they are only faster but they have issues with their refinement compared to the Japanese just like what happen to their own Quad Core Processor chip with many issues on the temperature and power consumption.

In other aspects like build quality, camera etc, I don't find Samsung is superior compared to other brands even HTC, not to mention, Sony.

Comparing other products like even cars, if you go and test drive the Hyundai or Kia, their refinement in the engine is still way behind the Japanese and besides, I own a Korean car too.

You are right on the reliability and durability, their products cannot last long and probably that is their marketing strategy which can keep earning more money from end user when their products will not last.

I think the 1st 13mp smartphone is Asus padfone 2 (taiwan) leh. Out since Nov or Dec 2012. Decent phone. Super underrated due to marketting but it comes with some cosmetic issues and very very poor Asus support in SG.

For the past 8 months, I owned S3, non lte (changed as wana try LTE. Balanced great phone, a bit too plastic XD)->padfone 2 (changed due to Asus support nightmare, took me 2 months of constant hounding to get a 1 on 1 exchange on a defect)->Lumia 920 (changed as in WP8 need 1 or 2 more years to catch up. Phone wise, excellent quality and the camera is too awesome, i think I grew some white hairs convincing myself to pass on the camera)->black Sony XZ

Xz wise, it is sleek, solid and nice. Only complain is the incoming call volume is too low...
I realized some funny thing,
the incall volume might be max (shown on screen) but if I lower it and kept pressing volume up after reaching max, the sound can get another like 30% louder (unfortunately, the 30% increase does not stay, resets after call ends). Anyone experienced this?
Regardless, even with this increment, the incall volume is still soft at noisy places (all previous phones I had does not have such issue, I had already activate those sound enhancement functions)

Just bought a purple one for the Mrs, waiting to test the incall volume, wondering if it is a general issue or just my set.

Any solution for the incall volume, anyone? Most appreciated

ImHo, it doesnt matter which brand is better.
As a consumer, my wish is for all of them to battle royale every moment to innovate and come up with better products so we the gadgeteers or wannabe (like myself XD) can benefit and have more choices.
It is a lengthy race, leaders change overnight. (e.g Fruity phones are so almighty in terms of innovation and technology some years back. Now... normalized and kinda following the trend and no longer leading.) You will never know, maybe 5 years down the road, the mozilla phone will lead or something =p

For the phone in call volume I think its jelly bean problem. I encountered that with note 2 too. For XperiaZ the aound pretty ok for me but sometimes need to vol down and up
