me too have this camera issue, I think I not going to sent to service centre as it is a hassle. as long as long as the dark pixel is not to disruptive to the image I dun think I will sent it for repair.

Guys, why my WiFi will auto connect to a saved one despite switching off the location based wifi? Does it means my xperia z is actively scanning for WiFi?

No leh, it's been like this since I got the phone. I don't even need to use the smarttag!

I think is dead pixel and not dust.

My xperia z have been in service centre closed to 2 week due to the dust problem. Till now my set is not ready now.

Usual usage you cant see it. but when camera is on and set to a 4:3 ratio (i think), i can see black spots at the corners.

the good thing is it is at the corners and I can just change the ratio. Instagram inbuilt camera app was affected.

I contemplate about sending it to the service centre, knowing it will take weeks, if not months just to wipe the dust off. and honestly, i just need them to open up rear casing for me, wipe it off and that's it. shouldn't take more than 15 mins right?

Yes. If you turn on your WiFi permanently then it is actively searching for WiFi network to connect and so happen when you reach home, it will connect to your saved WiFi spot immediately.

Yea the problem here is, it's off. I am used to on/off my WiFi switch when I reach home. With this Xperia Z, I don't have to do that at all (even without smarttags)

Maybe they need to send it back to Japan for servicing. When I send in they told me it need around 1 week to repair but till now my status is still not ready.

so this is reason its delay
can't givr them a call to ask any update?

if delay at least a reason given so we know if not we wait endless and our faith in the product. will drops and in the end stop support it

guys, my whatsapp keyboard randomly cannot display the text i type & i have to press back then go in to the conversation again in order to work. also i notice sometimes when i type, it jumps to google search. anyone can help?

For those poor chaps who want to service your phone, I did post before that SONY SERVICING NEED TO WAIT TWO WEEKS, GG.

I went there so many times I know the lady at bishan, no matter how angry u are, she only smile smile say nothing she can do, except u email their cso. Just email n complain until gao gao n hope they change 1 new phone for u, after I exchange no problem already.

Quite happy about the update, to clear whiteness issues. But damn stupid u cannot update over the air, and if your phone can't detect using usb, u need to repair n repair means restore. Similanjiao

this is a norm if u buy a SONY now a days
accept it
if you cant accept SONY lack of spare parts in SG just go for others brands
as last time got alot of SONY shop
but now is scale down

guess they dont put SG as important or they dont earn much and want to cut cost so they dont carry enough parts to cater for local customers
