'Google Edition' Sony Xperia Z coming soon | Android Central

The "Google Edition" Sony Xperia Z will be sold in the U.S. through the Google Play Store later in the year, just like the two other Google Edition handsets. Being a "Nexus user experience" phone it’s very likely this new Xperia Z will benefit from speedier system updates, though we weren’t able to specifically confirm this point.

wah this is good if it's true. Means the xperia z will get updated for a long time into the future if someone post the google edition rom up.:D

Guys, need your help. When i take photos with the Z holding the phone vertically & i try to upload to fb, after uploading the pix will auto rotate to landscape mode. Why ah? Only way not to auto rotate is to take the same pix holding the phone horizontally. this is happening to my cousin's phone. When i use mine to take, this doesn't happen. Any idea why?

From what I read from this thread on earlier posts, sounds like you are using older firmware (ending with .350). You can choose to update your phone firmware via PC Companion to the latest firmware, it fixes your fb issue and a lot more (eg. improved battery life)

Just to check, the warranty will be recognised by Sony if I am looking to buy Xperia Z from shops like Adix82, WhyMobile etc?

Noob question. The NFC sticker is safe to be removed right ?

To put it simply, it is just an indication where the NFC sensor is. Cos you'll need to tap the right spots in order to let it work.

Just remember where the area is can already. Cos if you wanna apply a protector for the back and whit the sticker on, there'll be an air bubble.
