First time use Sony, extremely satisfied, superb stable. I am previous owner of Samsung S II and S III, also Nexus 10. After try Sony, won't back to Samsung anymore.

Now happily own Xperia Z and Xperia Tablet Z, soon replace Z with phablet Xperia Z Ultra. :)

strictly speaking it's not a duplicate, as it is a smaller picture which is stored in the whatsapp folder. so far I do not see any way around it.

Go to file commander, internal storage, whatsapp, media, whatsapp photos...... Those photos that u sent n received will be stored here.. You can delete all at one go....

Yes its frustrating to see the pic u sent via whatsapp appear in the album gallery, making it two same images (both stored in different folders).. But I dun think there is anyway to disable it...

I have to agree with you when you switch over from Samsung, you will love the user experience you get on Xperia Smartphones as no more laggy interface and it will not hang on you even though it has 2GB of RAM.

Sony is much more experienced in the firmware compared to Samsung by just comparing the firmware for both Xperia Z and Samsung Note 2 and you will know the difference.

S II - G version - extremely unstable at earlier stage, I use probably less than a month, sold it. My colleague still using it, much stable now but still occasionally hang from time to time.

S III - Quite stable but the international edition 1GB RAM cannot proper run it own touchwiz launcher, keep auto reload launcher after long use.

Nexus 10 - another nightmare, extreme not stable at earlier stage during 4.2.1, hang everyday, after update to latest 4.2.2, better, but still need restart every usage of 4 to 5 days due to RAM issue, as extra 800MB get occupied for GPU usage when updating to 4.2.2 which make the device became like 1GB RAM rather than 2GB. I know Nexus 10 is Google device but it also manufacture by Samsung.

My 1st sister use Samsung Galaxy Note II, she said sometimes also hang and she regret buy it, she told me this is her first and last Samsung phone.

My 3rd sister previously use Samsung Galaxy W, the spec look higher than first Google HTC Nexus One, but it actually run really bad on stock especially gaming, custom AOKP do make the phone run better but still not good. Last two weeks she also change to Sony Xperia ZL, and she is extreme happy now as the phone is smooth and solid stable.

Now I using Sony Xperia Z, never face hang issue at all, and it run smooth, even better now in 4.2.2

I also purchase Sony Xperia Tablet Z recently, already 3 days usage, stable and smooth. Never hang also.

With current Sony product, I can proudly said I can run Sony stock look happily without need of switching to AOSP/AOKP/CM like what I did previously when using Samsung.

I think not only the addition of bloatware but they will tweak the firmware to maximize everything on their hardware as Korean is well-known for maximize their output like their car engine horsepower, using same engine technology, they increase their horsepower from 109 to 121 and above resulting the drop in durability.

If you compare just the hardware, they are not as experienced as Sony or Japanese cos they lack of refinement in whatever they produced.

by removing is also as good as giving up the warranty lol

You are wrong. I removed the Sony anti-shatter film and the Sony service center accepted my request for phone repair without any issues at all. They didn't even comment or ask about the missing film.
