Good brand doesn't means perfect products. Tell me which brands don't have defects?

That time I got a few black spots too. Thought I could ignore but it became even more. So in the end had to bring for repair. They had to replace the whole camera unit, but luckily got parts so I got it back in 3 days or less.

Hey guys. From what i heard/read, the Xperia Z comes with a shatterproof film that look like a screen protector straight out of the box?

I initially applied liquid armour on it and subsequently want to remove this "screen protector" but later decided not to.

Question is , shld i remove the shatterproof film and apply liquid armor or just apply liquid armor over it?

It's supposed to protect the screen but it's also a scratch magnet. Best is apply your own SP over it.

liquid armor isn't permanent. Only lasts 3-6 months.

Hi guys, another Xperia Z user here. Bought it when the phone was still costs $988. =/

Anyway, I'm surprised the black dots camera issue is widespread. I already experienced that within the first 2 weeks of using this phone. Sent for repair straight at Sony Gallery @ Wisma. 2 weeks later, they replaced my phone with a new unit.

Btw, you guys know of any place where we could submit official bug reports? Anyone else realised that the stock Camera app cannot view front facing camera or access gallery if you launch it via the lockscreen?

Needa seriously customise this phone without rooting it... So far only been using it for basic use zzz

Mine can do so without any problems. Even if I set a Pattern unlock, it can still access front camera and Album app but only after I enter the pattern.

Yeah no such problem for me too.

Used to be able to use NFC with farebot to read ezylink card balances and transactions. After update to 244, was unable to do so anymore. Error msg is : This card is not yet supported by Farebot. Only raw data can be displayed.

Anyone have the same experience?

Not sure if it is the 244 update or the farebot update that causes the problem....

Oh no. I think it's my turn to try out the notorious after-service of sony. My Z has given up on me.

Problem happened when I was half way through my game when the phone rebooted. Then when it rebooted back into system, there is no signal bar. Just an empty slot there instead to the usual 3g/lte signal strength. And it will give me an error message "Process System is not responding. Would you like to close it?" Selecting Wait or Ok makes no difference as it will reboot itself automatically soon after. And the back of the phone gets very hot while it's doing the whole loop of rebooting again and again by itself.

I have tried to do a factory reset but it is not showing up as connected via usb to *** and it is not responding to the factory reset in the phone's settings option. I tried holding power and vol up button but it just help to shut it down, booting it up again will show the same error. And after the 3 vibrates, the led notification shows red then shuts down.

Any suggestions before I send my phone in? Phone is stock not rooted
