My phone dont know why now the power button spoil and the volume up button becomes the power button.

Also the back plate crack.

Any idea how long does it takes to repair?

Last time i read their duration is horrible, have it improve?

I aldy foresee this coming.

Esp that stuff gets slower.

Now, how to remove the update notification at the top of ur phone?

Settings -> Apps -> All -> Update Centre -> Force Stop. It might return if Update Centre is launched again.

Sounds like a motherboard issue. Repair duration depends on whether they have the parts.

I notice that after I switched off Google Now, and then uninstalled Google Play updates (but I didn't disable it so it was updated back to latest version), and now my battery usage is back to normal.

Things I also did: Go to Settings > Google (accounts) > Ads > Tick the box for Opt out of interest-based ads and also disable back up of data by going to Settings > Backup & reset (Personal) > uncheck the box for “Back up my data”.

I've turn off "Google Now" for now, till a proper fix comes in.
I did experience UI lag but after switching off the few Google stuff, it is back to the smooth days.

Can't wait for 233.

It's not the fault of Sony. Kitkat's tighten security means apps can only write or modify it's own folder on the SDCard or external storage.

I assume you went to the service centre and they advised that they don't offer the service of downgrading firmware?

Anyways, manual flashing is actually very simple. You need to find the 4.3 firmware FTF file and then use Flashtool to flash. Ensure that you untick the "Wipe data" option during the flashing process.

I searched the XDA threads for local 4.3 firmwares, and can only locate a 4.3 firmware for Singtel here (which would come with all those Singtel pre-installed apps): [STOCK ROM][FTF] Xperia Z (C6603) 10.4.1.B.0.101 Singtel (1270-0743) - xda-developers

If you prefer a more generic firmware without all the pre-installed apps, you can try the 10.4.1.B.0.101 Generic Ukraine firmware. Besides the default language setting at 1st startup, there isn't any difference between this firmware and a generic SG one.

Use here for how to use Flashtool to flash firmware (includes video guide).
