initially went to the somerset branch the girl said can do downgrade at bishan. so went to bishan branch the pinoy guy said they cant do downgrade. -_____-

Actually, service centre staff will never downgrade firmware for users.

Oh, and just in case anything goes wrong during the flashing process, do make a backup of your important data before flashing.

Happened to me once. I did a hard reset then update again. Unless someone can provide a better alternative, I think its the only way now.

txs for the tip.sadly, i tried that & it didn't work. googled ard but none of the solution works...reason could be i'm an idiot on this department but was itchy fingers, so i guess if any sifu can lend a hand, i'm all grateful.. even if a small fee is necessary

What steps you referring to? The ones I posted about downgrading? Which step failed halfway?

OMG OMG OMG...... my Z is alive again ...thank you all no matter what. I re-installed & re-run the flashtool. Bingo!!! what makes me happier is now i'm back to jelly bean

anyway, juz check mine warranty & it ended 31/5/14 whatever, happy need not to visit the infamous service ctr

so happy now...gd nite

again, any sifu knows how to get rid of that (4.4.2) update reminder/ icon on the top? pissed to see that reminder but more afraid to had accidentally trigger that update... that will be a nightmare!!

hate that kitkat until Sony comes with a better patch....gonna buy a kitkat later & bite it off into pieces

long press on the notification and click on app info. then force stop. the notification may pop up again in a day or a few days but at least it helps.

Just update my Z to kitkat OTA. I feel the phone is faster now. Maybe i don't use google+ in the first place. Also did not factory reset. Playing game and surf net does seem faster.

Wat kind of lag should i look out for?

Battery drainage? As that is one of the major concern from everyone.

Look normal to me at the moment. I need more time to test. Normally i charge 1 time per day and my routine have not change yet. Play game on and off, night time charge.
