In the URA masterplan 2025, Khatib Camp has been zoned as residential. Looks like Khatib Camp will close down and be demolished.

In the URA masterplan 2025, the former Yishun bus interchange and the open field next to Yishun Pond has been zoned as residential. Looks like the old bus interchange will be demolished and there will be either new condo or BTO next to Northpoint City with a good view of Yishun pond and Yishun park.

I have no idea why government wants to keep on building more and more BTO on existing places like yishun stadium or former bus interchange

when government can build elsewhere other than yishun

Seeing too much BTO in Yishun is really straining on the eye, BTO there, BTO there

Yeah but too much BTOs are straining on the eyes

We need more parks or land on its own (ie grass patches)

nowadays is pretending to be garden city

plant some rooftop garden or anyhow plant trees along the roads will do

That place will be insanely oversubscribed

Close to Northpoint, MRT

Who don't want

But I hope BTO will never be built there

Unfortunately, the URA masterplan 2025 exhibition didn't mention if it is BTO or condo for this new housing

Yishun Is The Coolest Place In S’pore… According To The NEA App

03 Jul 2025

Is it just us, or has this heatwave in Singapore been dragging on longer than ever?

But it seems there is one area on our little red dot getting a slight respite from the sweltering heat.

Yishun.

Yes, really.

A picture posted to Reddit by netizen AgileComparison3967 on Tuesday (Jul 1) showed most of the island heating up with temperatures of at least 28.5°C.

Yet for some reason, Yishun was almost four degrees cooler at 24.8°C.

The picture appears to be a screenshot from The National Environment Agency's (NEA) MyENV app.
