Wow... 26x ??! If i've not gotten my ZF5, i would have bought it then! $26x is a really good deal for a high spec ZF5! :)

We are buying non-SG sets for the price/specs/faster delivery date. Thewiseone is a happy user. See his comprehensive review a few pages back (and thanks to him too) :)

Mine should be shipping out to my contact on 30/5 (2GB/16GB model). I can't wait to receive it!

I don't think you need to buy, its juz pre-register, not pre-order, right?

Yeah i know. Just wish to voice out my dissatisfaction with Asus SG....

ps: Asus SG' facebook is like a broken record: "we are bringing the zenfone 5 to SG soonest. Do check our facebook page for updates."

Most of the comments on ZF5 are negative. The PR isn't well executed.

i wonder how soon is their soon :s13:
the more they drag and launch in sg. i think might be a fail. as other brands are launching new product. (i.e. xiaomi note/1s...)

The delay and poor management aside, the ZF5 IMO is quite a decent phone by any standards. It may be just a mid-tier model but it certainly competes well even with top end models close to 3 times its price. I bought my ZF5 to be used as a travel phone. After some time with it, it has now replaced my Sony Xperia ZL as my everyday phone. ;)


We all know that mobile phones now have a very short product life cycle. In 1 year or so, the used-to-be top of the line model becomes obsolete. For those who are really interested in getting the ZF5, i'd suggest that u dont wait for Asus SG to launch the low-spec model. How much longer do u want to wait while the world goes by? As it is, we are already hearing loads of complaints regarding stock availability EVERYWHERE. At S$2XX, i think its a decent price for the high spec model. IF u think that is expensive and u would rather wait for an even higher spec 32GB ROM model (cant see why u need that much ROM unless u have tons of games to install), u will forever be in the waiting game since a new and better model will always be in the horizon. Currently at this price point, i am quite positive the ZF5 has no competition. Those of u thinking of spending similar $$$ on some XYZ brand Chinese phones powered by mediatek processors, think again. Their performance dont even come close, not even the octa core powered models with 2GB of RAM. :s22: I know because i've been there and done that.
