I haven't seen the actual phone itself but from pics, the bezels for the phone look quite thick and normally cheap or low-end phones have thick bezels.
Will need the black version to"hide" it.
Anyway the price says it...its low-mid range phone.

the big challenge will b at this price, will it b better (or worth) than xiaomi redmi?
hardware spec appears so...user experience varies...

Was wondering if the build in battery is a disadvantage, deal breaker compared to the redmi which has a removable battery. Most build in batteries can last for a couple of years but I tend to use my phone for more than that. Would that be a problem for me? Appreciate any advise as still deciding between the redmi and zen 5. many thanks.

Appreciate your kind comments on abve quote. is this a consideration for you all. thanks.

if you are that worried then by all means get other phones that have removable batteries. :)

Hi Alamin2 and TheWiseOne,

Are you using the 1.6GHz or the 2GHz processor for ZF5? I wonder how different is the performance? Hopefully the 1.6GHZ will perform well also.

Not sure. My one is 1.6ghz 1gb ram one. Singapore preorder will be getting 1.6ghz 2gb ram. will review further when i get it

I am using the 2Ghz model. Unless u are gaming or require CPU intensive apps, i dont think there will be a huge difference in performance between these 2 versions for normal operation. I believe the 2GB of RAM plays a more important role.

quite true. the 2gb ram is more important .. ram compensates

I haven't seen the actual phone itself but from pics, the bezels for the phone look quite thick and normally cheap or low-end phones have thick bezels.

no big deal to me. im using an otter box case so its super extremely bulky when i put in my pocket. . almost twice of the zenphone thickness

Actually.. the price is not just $199, as almost all need to buy mSD card for it.. (unless u have spare), so the price shld be $199+$26ish (for a 32gb card) = $225

now, Mi3 is $339 ... its +-$114 more... u get FHD screen, leading speed processor

I am wondering if its really worth buying the az5 now.

if you can justify for yourself that buying a mi3 is more worthwhile then go for it.

Mi3 : no dual sim, no expandable memory.

Sorry ... Whats so special bout it?

I think a lot of us share the same sentiments.. Thus resulting in stock availability even till now.

Not to mention no LTE support.

It's like neither here nor there IMO.
