I went down to Asus at Vivocity this evening, wanted to look at the Asus Zenfone 5 demo set. But was disappointed that they did not hv a demo set for display. The salesperson mentioned that they r waiting for the display stand to be delivered so tt they can display the demo set. However, they have the 1GB RAM ZF5 available for sale at $199. The 2GB RAM ZF5 will be selling for $249, but the stock will only be available later this month. Seems like those who hv registered their interest will be the 1st batch getting the 2GB RAM. Hope all this wait really worth it.

lucky i see your post, almost wanted to head down to vivo to try the phone out today. Also looking forward to tmr collecting the phone. Already bought the tpu case and screen protector online.
Ordered an extra screen protector (clear type) accidentally and willing to let go at cost. Anyone interested please pm me.

anyway i saw online video reviews that the screen is very reflective, could it be because the lcd is not bonded to the glass? Any owners can give their views on this?

any shops started selling matte screen protector? don't really wanna wait for eBay/qoo10 delivery

I've mentioned about the reflective screen before. I would recommend to use a matte screen protector with this phone instead of the clear type.

But I never like using Matt protector as it degrades the clarity of the pixels on screen.

Cant have it all, u'll have to take a pick. If u need the clarity, u will be better off not using even a clear protector. The gorilla glass 3 is quite resistant to scratches. Some clear type screen protectors are even more prone to smudges and fingerprints than the bare glass itself!

Agree with you. Personally, one of the perks of using s budget phone is that you can disregard any TLC. MY REDMI screen looks exceptionally good naked.

Well, enjoy it while it last. Before interest dies out and revert back to the new iPhones. Then have to start spending $$$ on 'protection'
