Looks like everyone anxious over my statement.

Basically I do not play much games, using the phone to FB, Whatsapp and surf. When at home .. Use WiFi.
Only 1 SIM card. Turned off all the usual 'suspects' like BT, GPS, Haptic, Location access....

Anyway,
1. Phone started w 51%. Was totally drained in 3 hours. Was busying creating accounts, installing apps, testing the cam.

2. Was charging for 5 hours. From 100% to now its 93% after using it for 15mins. Using 3G.

Will do a personal review prob tml. In case u guys are planning to look elsewhere. Well, comparing to my Redmi. The Zenfone is amazing in terms of built quality. 4 of my friends were surprised at how light and rather thin this Zenfone is. The metallic buttons are sturdy ... In short. .. The phone does not look & feel like a sub $250 phone.

I am very dissapointed in batt.

I sent a china set to my sister. She only play candy crush. Didn't install many stuff. I asked her about the battery,she said "very good". Can last for 2 days. Also, she said the phone is "very fast".

Its a test straight out of the box...screen time of ~100% for 3hrs.
It mught b gd 2 hv a screenshot of the batt usage...screen time blah blah

I agree. I have both the Redmi and ZenFone 5. The ZenFone 5 battery is not as good as Redmi. However, ZenFone 5 is really smooth to use as compared to Redmi and it is stylish too especially with the Flip Cover.

The camera shutter speed is faster on ZenFone 5.

Played with this phone yday...but decided I also giving up my slot for collection in Funan this Thursday .. white color.

As spare/travelling phone is ok, but as a main phone i feel the internal memory too small as i learnt that apps cannot store in SD unless phone is rooted. I don't want to root.

but if u dont mind root the phone and few short comings of it, this is definitely a better looking and build phone than Redmi.. and the dual 3G slot is a bonus. Its so much slimmer and lighter compared to Redmi.

i have decided not to take mine.. as think and think again 8Gb capacity (becomes 4Gb) is not enough and need to root to install app on sdcard.

i have asked my colleague to buy a 2.0Ghz, 2Gb ram and 16Gb in China.. that cost around $220.. better deal i guess..

if not stock overthere, i may opt for mi3 as the price just dropped..

Is there a difference between sg and china radio in terms of standards supported?

I thought there should be some diff.

i am not so sure about this, but i have friend who bought it and use it in Indonesia, so i guess it should work in Singapore too.
i heard some ppl bought from Taiwan and use it here..

any concern that you think can happen? like can't be use or 3G not working properly?
