offline map for tokyo

i was trying to use my s3 to download offline google map but realize it doesnt allow offline caching for tokyo area.
which other apps for android are you guys using to cache or view offline tokyo maps?

Scared will use up of data bandwidth fm the 1gb bmobile so caching will be better I think.

I got before I only use max 300mb
for my 1week plus trip to tokyo and sapporo
u just don't steam video and music and with some voip is enough

Not working as in gps can't lock ur location? I dl the 300mb Japan map in the app, feel that the details not as much as Google map though.

yea..didnt lock on to my location
if it works..it would definitely be helpful even though the map is not that detailed

caching is temporary and limited to a certain period of time. Great for temporary usage, but still limited.

I used the labs function and manually cache by loading all the map tiles while on wifi.

Google Maps has an offline caching option.

i know that but when i go to map, select 'make available offine' and search tokyo (Shinjuku) area, the message state 'offline map is not available in selected area'
the caching works for singapore though.
