hi all

i need some advice here,
i have a old all in one HP all in one TouchSmart 60-1036

HP Support document - HP Support Center

Only $600 HP touchsmart 600-1036 23"1080p touchscreen All-in-one only 1month warranty

mine is broken, the VR link is NOT MINE !

erm it jsut wont start anymore, it hangs at the "windows starting screen"
i tried changing the hdd, can it won't even get to the recovery process.
i put back the old HDD and the it still gets stuck at the "windows starting" screen

i can't find the receipt anymore, its about 4-5 years old

what can i do with it?
i remember buying it from a PC show at expo
i don't know/remember who the vendor is or who services HP tech support

i believe it is a MOBO issue

what can i do with it?
im not sure if i can just bring it to any SLS service shop because of the spare parts issue.

can i get some advice please?
i would REALLY like to just fix it up again, THEN dump it off in working condition.

THANKS in advance

Check the ram. Run memtest

hi guys, thanks for all the advice
my specs are:

Your TouchSmart computer supports memory with the following specifications:

Dual channel memory architecture
Two DDR3 SO-DIMM (200-pin) sockets
Supported SO-DIMM types:
PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333 MHz)
Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
Supports 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMMs
Supports up to 4GB RAM on 32-bit systems or 8GB RAM on 64-bit systems
Approximately 3.2 GB is addressable on 32-bit operating systems

i will have to go to SLS and find some 1333 RAM, a few HDB mall shops have told me that 1333 is almost phased out already :/
dingy com.
