This is a very lousy score. Forgot to enable performance mode I think. Multi core should be 3.9k to 4k. Single core should be 1.3k ish.
1k or even 800 is a joke.

I never enable performance mode. Benchmark is to show the stability of the score for sd8+g1 and not to show off how high the number is. Everyone is aware of how sd8+g1 performs

Anyone disabled 'Smart Rapid Charging'. Dont seem to notice a difference in speed with either.

Apparently with screen on and apps open the charging speed drop tremendously compared to my OP9 pro. Felt like a drop from 150W max to 30W max.

Screen on definitely slower charging to prevent heat buildup

To be clear, enabling performance mode only makes the phone CPU perform to what it should as a snapdragon 8+ gen 1. It is not overclocking it to run faster than other 8+ gen 1 chips.

If it is not enabled, it will be LESS than what it should be as a snapdragon 8+ gen 1 and maybe only comparable to a snapdragon 888/888+ because the CPU is underclocked.
If it is stable when it is underclocked, it doesn't mean anything to me.
It must be stable when it is in performance mode which is actually just stock clocks.

This phone should only be run in performance mode.

I am not saying this phone is bad. I bought it.

U run it on performance mode 24/7? Im sure not all will enable performance mode permanently though, so it is up to personal preference. Most will just use it as it is out of the box, so all the results i share is based on out of the box experience.

Like i said lor, I am just sharing the results based on the stability of sd8+g1 as sd8g1 has issue with sustained performance even without performance mode, and i am not competing with some benchmark competition. Oneplus lends me the demo phone to play, so the least i can do for them is just to post the experience using the phone here out of good will and helping them to answer some queries which anyone has in the forum

Not a paid or sponsored phone anyway as I have to return the phone to them. So it doesnt matter much to me how well the phone is :s13: i am not a reviewer also btw, so my testings are some basic noob tests compared to those full time reviewers so pardon me for that

Thanks for sharing this insight though.

so sd 8+gen 1 in stock is only comparable to 888/888+ in throttling tests when the performance is already better than sd 8 gen 1?

Not really. Sd8+g1 is supposed to solve the sustained performance issue which sd8g1 is having and a slight performance increase. Not sure why he is trying to ask people to run performance mode 24/7 though but well, up to individuals

haha. this reminds me of the OPPO Reno8 Pro. Even with performance mode turned on, with the highest Pro performance settings in game tools, the phone doesn't even run Genshin as well as the OnePlus Ace (even without performance mode turned on). and both using the exact same chipset. All because OPPO seems to be specifically targeting the game for throttling. So to me, benchmark numbers are not that useful. Even if they don't throttle benchmark apps, and let you see very high numbers, it's all pointless if they happen to be throttling a game that you play. :ROFLMAO:

hope that's not the case here for the 10T, cause the Genshin performance for Ace Pro seems pretty good.

Precisely. It is also the software or phone kernel limiting the performance in a game sometimes regardless performance mode is turned on or not. Benchmarks are just a number and has no direct implication on how well your phone will perform in real life based on individual usage. I am just showing the stability of the sd8+g1 based on sustained performance under long period of time and not to show off how high sd8+g1 can score in benchmarks

For some people, sd778g+ can performs really well because they dont game, just whatsapp, youtube, telegram, social media apps.

I think the issue is that the button is called "performance mode" so people like you are thinking its used to enable some high performance mode on the phone or something like that.

This is false.

This so-called performance mode in the oneplus 10T is actually just NORMAL STOCK CLOCKS of a snapdragon 8+ gen 1. It is not a high performance mode or overclocking or anything like that.

So, i am sharing with people that if you want the phone to run normally, you need to enable it.

So, to put it clearly:

OUT OF THE BOX, THE PHONE IS RUNNING AT LESS THAN NORMAL PERFORMANCE.
IF YOU ENABLE PERFORMANCE MODE, IT WILL RUN AT NORMAL PERFORMANCE.

Is that clear enough?

Dont need caps, i not blind.

Noted your point. Enjoy your 10T with performance mode 😉
