yeah. at first saw Ace Pro launch and thought looked promising, but then once 10T was announced and reviews and tests started showing up and showed signs of it throttling Genshin, I lost interest completely. Though OnePlus 11 does perform well though. It's probably still throttling a bit (looking at tests from other reviewers showing lesser power draw and slightly lower FPS compared to other SD8G2 phones), but since SD8G2 is so good, performance in genshin is still good enough, and that slight throttling makes it run a little cooler and use a bit less battery which i appreciate.
camera hardware also a massive upgrade over 10T, as well as screen quality, build quality, etc. all for about the same price (provided you manage to get it during launch promo). The price is still higher than the olden days of 5/5T/6/6T/7/7T for sure, but it also has a lot less compromises now. At least got ip64, good LTPO3 QHD+ screen (last time they always use subpar panels imo with somewhat poor contrast outdoors), good build quality, very good stereo speakers, very very good haptics, and camera performance is also at a good level too (all 3 cameras are usable and good). I was one of those that got that early PO, and I feel like it's been worth the price I paid still. I bought it because i was interested in SD8G2 and thought I would just sell it after my review, but in the end I kept it and i'm still using it.
Though it's kind of a shame that they didn't keep up the momentum with the launch promo and now that it's just buds pro and no extra $50 off, it's a bit less appealing compared to the S23 series which has all gone down A LOT in price. Now instead of good value, i would probably just say it's a good option if you want better gaming performance (all of the tests and comparisons I've seen shows that S23 series despite having a "For Galaxy" chipset, runs hotter, uses more power, but has lower average FPS in genshin compared to other SD8G2 phones), want 2 years warranty (since samsung only offered that for PO), and that's about it. Since for camera, software experience, and other additional features like IP68, wireless charging, USB3.0, the S23 is better.
Kind of a missed opportunity IMO since in SG we still don't have that many options with SD8G2 and that lower price made it more appealing for those willing to live with a few compromises. Once XM13 series comes out, and if they price it well, OP11 will become less appealing liao for those who want SD8G2 performance and don't mind MIUI. oh well.
