so weird they went back from USB C - C to A - C. Anybody tried if is the cable or the charger that is being recognized as super warp charging? I got a GAN charger 140W but is USB C, but when using C - C charge is not even warp charging.

they uses proprietary charging protocols. normal GAN chargers will not achieve warp charging.

Only way for you to achieve warp charging is to get a original charger or use a VOOC charger by oppo

its not weird, they have always been using propriety Dash/VOOC/Supervooc. What you are using is PD based.

Region lock issue seems to have been resolved. I got a set a month ago and so far so good.

One plus come with a 100w charger right?

For additional charger, may consider this as well.

Pic from taobao. (FYI, I bought this for my Oppo Find X6 Pro)

Does the local oneplus support e-sim? Which shop is selling local set the cheapest?

Saw some shops selling the global version but warranty only 2months at $800+

Didn't had any region lock issue since I received it. Seller also mentioned should not have any region lock issue now.
just monitor. I am unsure about the region lock thing, but it is present all over the internet and even some carousellers trying to sell OnePlus phones, and it has region lock (they sell it off because the phone is basically unusable). from what I know, it doesn't happen immediately, but only after some time. phone will start behaving weirdly like cannot make phone calls, auto brightness goes haywire, fingerprint sensor not working etc...

I am just suggesting to go with local set, but it is up to individual whether to take the risk or not. I do not want to bear the responsibility to ask someone to buy export set and they got the region lock issue. seller can claim there is no region lock, as they want sale. if got issue, are they going to do a refund to u on the phone?

better don't risk it. else u just earn yourself an expensive brick. it is good that it doesn't happen to him, and I pray that it will never happen to him.

but personally, I won't buy export sets anymore just because of this

Yeah, I thought so too. Not entirely shutting the doors on export sets though, if more reviews or comments come back saying that got no issue with export ones, I'm still in for it, just not at the current tide.

My colleague bot in early Feb and once he started using it he got the region locked message but he was able to pay and get it unlocked at oppo service center. So that would be the worst case scenario.

I was also v hesitant to buy because of the region lock but savings of $200 is a little too big haha. Hopefully it will stay fine for me.
