If max capacity not 100% in settings under battery, means it's used or refurbished if not mistaken.

Checked IMEI on oneplus website and the activation date was Dec 2023. Seems like a used phone indeed..

Yup, it's at 95%

Checked IMEI on oneplus website and the activation date was Dec 2023. Seems like a used phone indeed..

reminding people that the CN supplier had to unseal and turn the phone on to put in CN sim card to unlock the phone (in other words, removing region lock), which is most prob done in Dec 2023, but of course it shouldn't be at 95% esp when the phone is not used since then

They asked me to apply for refund directly. Surprisingly no resistance from them so far. Was expecting them to come up with some excuses.

Also could be worth checking - those who bought global sets from CN sellers, when did you get your phone and when was your IMEI1 activated? Can use this link to find out the latter

Just return for refund. 95 percent out of box definitely not normal

The fact that selling a used set as "new" based on their post is very dishonest.

Time to condemn these stalls unless buying directly during launch, then it will be a high chance of new set (no chance to start reseal and sell used sets yet).

An advice from me, take video of everything during your packing back into the box, showing the condition etc, and sealing the box for shipment. Protect yourself. Later they say got scratch or what, then reject return.

Who knows what trick they have up their sleeve.
