right now if u want the PO gifts which include official sandstone magnetic case+charger(which is not included) +nords buds 3, then the official site i posted, they still honor it so long as the listing is still up
for shopee, with shop and platform discount that only has the phone, its about 1189(or 1179 if u got coins to redeem), or 1238(1228) if u wanna add in the official charger

right now local is the better way to go for 2 years official local warrenty direct under oppo service ctr at novena.
parallel is still on CN rom, even if u are ok with playing with it and can self install playstore etc etc, no one can predict what happens in the future where banking apps may not be supported on CN rom phones anymore etc as what recently happened in Oppo Find X6 thread, and CN prices now tbh isnt too attractive to me, as compared to the 12 series, so no point getting the CNs for now

Shopee listing doesn't mention anything about PO gifts though

partly coz D9400 on Oppo is more power efficient. For me after learning my usage pattern it has been pretty ok for me

I just started using 13R as daily driver yesterday. I hope the battery life will improve over time. At the moment, x8's battery life seems better on the first few days of use. The UI is smoother on X8 too. I think OPPO optimized coloros 15 very well with d9400.

Anyone changed screen protector yet? I changed mine to a taobao privacy screen.it looks good but....... The fingerprint scanner isn't working anymore and it doesn't allow me to add new ones again..

One Plus Ace 5 and One Plus 13R are basically same device, is just that one is china, another is global.

same same but different. technically is the same, but strangely ace5 battery capacity is 6415mAh but 13R is 6000mAh. And 13R support esim. But you can't flash oxygenOS on ace5 or even if u do it wont OTA upgrade. i see it as coloros doesnt has much support for playstore and google ecosystem because it's more for the china market. so, dont expect ur phone to work very well for spotify/google music and game optimization for games in playstore. whereas oxygenos is for NA/EU/IN market, so you can expect it to be optimized for google ecosystem, tiktok, facebook etc...

I think for people who are waiting for CN set to flash into oxygenOS, dont bother waiting bah... I just trying to share a few cents of what I feel. It seems like oneplus trying to block ppl to do that. currently, those that successfully converted their coloros to oxygenos, cannot receive OTA updates. in order to get incremental update, need to root your phone to install update manually. By rooting your phone, it create another set of problems whereas some banking apps dont work on rooted phone because of security concerns. if your phone is rooted and kena malware, the malware got 100% permission to do whatever it wants and that's hong kan, that why banks dont wanna allow their apps to work on rooted phones. Furthermore, local set with vouchers from shop and platform cost around $1115 for me for 16+512gb. I think around S$250 more than CN set only. for 2 years local warranty + proper oxygenOS + supported esim i think still quite justifiable bah. The amount of risk i took is much lower also. I'm not trying to convince ppl to buy local set instead of CN set. About a week ago, i also waiting for oxygenOS on CN set but after weighting the pros and cons, i think the additional S$250 is quite well spent bah. And these are the reason that managed to convince me to turn to a local set. Nowadays CN set also not cheap, not as if u saved like $300-400. If can save $300-400 i will take the risk myself la, but $250 to save all my trouble and worry in the future. I will gladly just pay for it.

u know oneplus has its own dynamic island like iphone? so i think maybe for coloros it support QQ music etc whereas oxygenos can support spotify/youtube music etc. i can't say coloros wont support spotify/youtube music because global oppo/vivo users also use coloros

All along I have been trying to say this. This year pricing isnt too far off from china sets.

The risks are too big to bear. Considering after you convert, no ota update, and there are some stuffs that doesnt work. I saw you have to root it to get proper cellular connection etc.
